First and last time coming here. I ordered the pastrami sandwich for $13.50 and it was a small amount of (gristly) meat on a greasy, low quality bun. No sauce or anything on the sandwich, just meat and a bun. Someone who wasn't my server put my plate on the table without a word and walked away. I wanted to ask if the sandwich usually comes this way...but my server ghosted me too and only reappeared 15 minutes later. I couldn't even get someone to recognize me to ask for mustard for the duration of the meal and it had gotten cold. My server asked how everything was , and I said "I am actually pretty unhappy with the meal" and his expressionless response was "do you want more iced tea"....Really good customer service. I normally wouldn't have written this review at all for the food being bland and overpriced. It was that in addition to the server being inattentive and not caring in the least that I was unhappy with what I ordered. The audacity to recommend a "22%" and "25%" on the check too! If it weren't so frowned upon in our tipping culture (I always tip 20% unless something really ridiculous happens like this) then I would not have tipped at all. Can't recommend this establishment. Should have gone to the Tatte nearby instead.

2 of us at table of 4 ordered corned beef hash. When it arrived we both thought it tasted funny(bad) like maybe it was sitting out overnight. We told waitress and said we wanted to order something else. No one apologized or nothing was taken off the bill. The crunchy french toast was good but overpriced.

This place is a local gem! It's a perfect spot to go with family or with friends. Food: I got the corned beef hash with potatoes. The hash was good flavor-wise but I wish the beef was portioned a little smaller so it could blend better. The eggs were solid but eggs are pretty solid everywhere. 7.5/10. Ambiance: So cute and there are just such great vibes here! The staff is very friends and it's a lovely local place. We went on a weekend and it was packed so you know it's reliable 8.5/10. Price: Pricing is pretty standard for a brunch place. My meal was about $15 and I was decently full 8/10. Would definitely go ahead if I'm in the area!

Johnny’s is a blast to the past - not only does the retro decor take you back, but so too does the friendliness of the staff and reasonably-priced menu items. We arrived around noon on a Sunday, expecting a long wait, but only sat for around 15-20 minutes before being seated. The specials were to die for and I, admittedly, ordered way too much food because I wanted to try it all. The blueberry muffin was the best I’ve ever had in my life—incredibly light and fluffy, yet crunchy with a twinge of saltiness on the outside after being fried in butter. The side of bacon was heaping, thick-cut, and flavorful. The scrambled eggs were moist and delicious. The strawberry rhubarb pancakes were my favorite. I cannot wait to go back and try some of their lunch items!

Hello everyone! If you travel through Boston area, take a moment and stop here for a bit to eat. Service was great and they accommodated my GF DF needs. Ask for Christian as a waiter, he took good care of me and my friends. Thanks for letting us sit there a bit longer and chat.

Stopped in for what I hoped would be a quick lunch. They seem be going for the All day breakfast classic American diner. Which they sort of pull off except for how cramped and claustrophobic it is.The Menu is pretty bog standard silver diner. They seem to be doing a roaring to go business, which would explain the 6-7 people working their kitchen, but the 4-5 servers working the front of house didn't translate into any kind of actual service.I got the fish and chips. It's a pretty safe bet usually. It was like somebody cut a McDonald's fish sandwich in half and put it on my plate. After they over cooked it. I could have skipped that fish across a lake like a stone. I will say the fries were ok.What really amazed me was, I watched a plate of food get put onto the pass. Under the hot lights, ready to go. I thought it might be mine, but after 5 minutes I thought "must be part of a larger order for another table." After another 5 minutes it was noticed and brought to me. Should have got it my myself.I think this place wants to be to-go only. I don't think they want people eating in. At least that's the vibe. This place isn't a hole in the wall. It's just a hole. Pass it by.

Excellent for families. Egg Benedict heaven. Quick and efficient service. Old school American dinner feel.

Decided to stop by for a bite before work. "Closed for the storm". What storm? The 2 inch snow event? Since when does a New England restaurant "close for the storm"? People who have to work, have to eat. So much for hearty New Englanders. Ridiculous. I ended up going elsewhere, and won't give this spot another chance.

The food and atmosphere was great! I felt like I was time warped to the 70's-80's. However, the service we got was sub-par. Our waiter never came to ask how everything was, and in fact we had to literally flag him down to ask him for some additional sauce and napkins. Something to work on.
