**Review: Great Food & Ambiance, But Service Needs Serious Improvement** I recently visited this restaurant and had mixed feelings about the experience. On the positive side, the food was genuinely excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ambiance was equally impressive, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made the space feel special and well thought out. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food or the setting. Our water glasses were small and not refilled even once throughout the meal. We found ourselves repeatedly having to flag down different staff members just to get basic items like plates, cutlery, olive oil, and water. Our waitress did not check on our table at any point, which made the experience feel disjointed and a bit neglected. With better attention to service and a more proactive staff, this place could easily become a go-to favorite. For now, it's a spot with great potential—but the service needs to catch up to the kitchen.
Nice place, love the bread. The pasta in my bolognese were very tough (reheat?) and the sauce is salty (I almost never use salt at home so I know I'm more aware). My friends love the breakfast though. Lovely servers.

Wonderful service. Excellent food. Appetizers were fantastic as was the wine selection by the server.
If high volume of noise isn't a problem for you, Food, service, and value were good+ Enjoy.
Had dinner here on a Saturday night in Nov 2025 with friends. There is a parking lot in the back of the bldg. We ordered the Mussels appetizers and a green salad plus the salmon and the cod dishes, which were quite good. The waiter was always in a rush and a little on the rude side. The place is extremely loud and it is hard to hold a conversation with the people at the table. We will probably go back. Count on spending about $50 per person without alcoholic drinks.

Food was a bit disappointing. Salad excellent but pizza soggy and not very flavorful (we got the white pizza), and mushroom papardelle was just ok
The food was good—though a bit overpriced, and my daughter's pesto was on the bland side. Overall, we enjoyed what we ordered. However, we felt very rushed by the staff. Our meals came out almost immediately after we ordered, which really took away from our plan to enjoy a relaxed dinner with the kids.
I don't write many restaurant reviews, but I felt I needed to write one for MIDA. This was our first experience at MIDA. I've always heard good things about it, and now I can see why. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, very light and airy - we immediately felt comfortable. Our waitress was courteous, kind, and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. The bread at the table was delicious and I couldn't stop eating it. The drinks were tasty. I had the Bloody Mary and it and strong enough, not weak. We had the tiramisu for dessert, and it was by far the best tiramisu we have ever had. I can't wait to come back.
I took my girlfriend here for dinner for her birthday and our server made SURE she felt very special! We were both very pleasantly surprised how above and beyond the servers and staff went to make sure our dining experience was enjoyable. The food was outstanding and came out very fast. I would 10/10 recommend this restaurant! Can't wait to go back!!
The food is so good here. Casual, delicious, and fun atmosphere. When it's busy it's a little loud, but that's to be expected. Pizza, salads, and drinks are great. It was 4 of us former co workers - lifelong friends get together. It was my first time here and I need to come back to check out more of the offerings.

Mida is my favorite Italian restaurant - last two trips to Fenway and Newton have left a bad taste due to wait staff. I’ve been to every location multiple times after being a regular patron of original store in South End - and it seems as the brand has grown, the wait staff has become more confrontational.

Rachel was our server and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire menu and wine list and was very gracious helping us navigate all our selections and the pacing of a lovely dinner with friends.
Don't usually review anything but want to save others from a meh meal. Been to this location several times and have encountered service problems, dishes coming out in wrong order etc. It was bad enough that the manager comped the meal. Despite this we decided we'd go back and try it again which was a mistake we won't make again. When the server wasn't ignoring us he was rude to the point of being openly contemptuous. We didn't complain, just finished our meals and left. We are not problem customers, we're polite and respectful. As for the food we tried several different dishes, aps etc and they we just meh. On the positive side the atmosphere is lively and the food presentation is good but there are so many other options that are better.
