We had memorial dinner there. Food was tasty and prices are affordable. Their honey cake is so delicious. Recommend.

One of the few truly outstanding restaurants I have found in the Boston area.

Here’s what my Moldavian girlfriend thought:

The borsht put a big smile on her face, it tasted perfect and was “10/10 authentic”. We put sour cream in it and it was wonderful.

The Sarmale tasted pretty good, but were a bit on the small side.

The eggplant dip was also quite good, and they gave us a generous amount.

Thanks for being the only restaurant in Boston that offers food from her home region. As an American I had no criticisms. The food was delicious and very filling despite the seemingly small portion sizes.

Beautiful, quiet and cozy interior.
Food arrived at a more than reasonable speed, and was well seasoned!
As for the drinks, the Kompot was of the highest quality!
Our server (John) provided us with exceptional service and gave great accomodations to enhance our dining.
10/10 highly recommended.

Parking: Free parking lot behind the restaurant.

Definitive Moldovan experience for the Boston area.

Obviously, an appreciation of East European customs and food is important when visiting a café with an ethnic focus. My iced latté was thick and flavorful (definitely above the average diluted drink I find, so often, I have ordered elsewhere) but it was the thick, generous, tasty sandwiches that made this visit.

We sat outside at the sheltered, street-side tables. It was highly pleasant.

Check the hours—they’re closed Mondays, as of summer 2024.

I had dinner at Moldova probably close to 15 times at this point. Authentic food paired with Saperavi wine… nothing better than this. Make sure to try their pan fried potato pancakes and roasted chicken entree.

Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. You'd feel like you're in Moldova with how authentic the food is. If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll love this place! The menu has a fantastic selection of dishes, and we loved everything we tried. We only had good comments about the food. I can’t wait to come back again! And shout-out to the owner Arthur, he's such a delightful person and you can tell how much he cares about putting out great food and a wonderful ambiance.

I have never had Eastern European food let alone Moldovan cuisine. I learned that this is the only one in Massachusetts! How fascinating!

The ambiance is great here. It is clean, comfortable, and very inviting. The service is superb and the waitstaff are very knowledgeable and able to make great recommendations.

I particularly enjoyed the roasted pork. It was so flavorful!

My favorite dessert was the honey cake. That’s a must try!

Could use more vegan options, but the white bean hummus and eggplant dip were vegan and decent tasting
