I was really impressed by how the bakery looked on the inside. When I came in for the first time, I was standing by the door trying to figure out where I wanted to sit and order. They let me know I could come right in, and I start making small talk about how ive never been here before and they ask me "As a member of the staff or a customer?" When I answer that I was a customer the experience became very very awkward and then they proceeded to tell me that they're sorry, they just assumed I was a staff member. Two stars because the food was great. Just, not a very welcoming experience. Maybe I'm not what they assume their clientele looks like.

There's a gorgeous new Tatte in Newton center. Their baked goods are justly famous but it's the brunch/lunch food that comes up a little short. In a nutshell, the sandwiches are much too much bread relatve to filling, and other entrees such as the lamb over rice are quite undistinguished and surprisingly expensive. Of note, the Fatoush salad is terrific, super fresh, well dressed and with a yummy little roll.Be aware that it's possible to get a table but the place has already gotten staked out by the WiFi squatters. It's already very busy and successful so rather hard that the business loses tables to people hunched over laptops with a coffee. Other annoyances are the slow line to place an order and empty water stations. Huge positives, besides the marvellous baked goodies, are the delightful staff, and the super pretty room.There's parking on the street plus the lot behind the shop. Plenty for vegetarians, and gluten free can eat here too. Lots of happy children in the room, and a brisk take out business as you would expect.

Seating for 100+ people plus takeout clients must all order at a double cash register after standing in line for about 15 minutes shoulder to shoulder with others. The decor is reminiscent of the white tiled art deco European interiors lit in bright white of a gorgeous public bathroom. And the Pavlova is a disgrace. Instead of a feather light cloudy texture we received a rock hard meringue with sweetened Philadelphia cream cheese-like filling. Great potential but ouch!

Went in on their opening day! Such a wonderful atmosphere! Great selection of pastries and breakfast dishes. Ordered mocha and it was delicious.

One employee named Andrea is rude af. She was hesitant to give me more cheeses for my salad because, “it’s two scoops only”. Then while I was looking for the dish return area she yelled across the Panera to tell me where it was. She really tried her best to go out of her way to be rude to me even after I started ignoring her.

The staff (or maybe it’s just one employee) is so rude to me and my friends every time we go there! It feels like she’s verbally harassing us. She told my friend to have a nice day, and my friend said thank you but she didn’t hear my friend. (We were wearing masks dug) She said “nice manners” sarcastically and also we’ve seen her without a mask on several occasions.

I just ordered from here and they woman working said “have a good night” I said “thanks” but she didn’t here me and said “wow nice manners” sarcastically i’m a rude tone. The same woman has said things like “this isn’t your house put your feet down” while I was eating with my family. She has repeatedly verbally harassed me and my friends. I am not sure of her name but she was wearing a bright pink shirt. Fire her.
