There's a gorgeous new Tatte in Newton center. Their baked goods are justly famous but it's the brunch/lunch food that comes up a little short. In a nutshell, the sandwiches are much too much bread relatve to filling, and other entrees such as the lamb over rice are quite undistinguished and surprisingly expensive. I don’t remember the sales associates name but I think it started with a D or something, maybe Divine? Either way she was super sweet, patient, and kind! And she also gave my friend and I her own money from out of her pocket because we were short in change. The other workers came off careless and sassy, while Divine was helpful and obviously cared about her customers. Mind you, we are 14. Super large Panera with a ton of seating, definitely is larger inside than the outside storefront appears. I came in to get a free bagel (a reward), and the cashier seemed super confused about the process. Maybe she was new or in training, but the process just took an unnecessarily long amount of time and she wasn't really nice or apologetic about it. Good thing I wasn't in a rush.
