Delicious breakfast. Fluffy scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked real bacon. Everyone loved French toast and I had the best gluten free pancakes ever! Can't wait to dine here again next time we're in BC area

We found this place recently since our son began going to school in the area and it has been quite a pleasurable place to visit before we head home after visiting him. They do pack in a crowd here in a Sunday morning so the trick is to get here early.Situated in a renovated old train station, the wooden benches are from the original station waiting room and the there's plenty of old signs and framed memorbilia from a time long ago to look at while waiting for your food or a table. We've only had breakfast here (several times), but everything is served fresh and hot (my favorite is the chicken and waffles . . . with a guilty pleaseure of a side of their thick cut crispy bacon). But my son usually gets the Eggs Benedict (not sure how long he's liked that dish, but he really enjoys it here). Their coffee is always fresh and quality along with their freshly squeezed orange juice. I'd love to come back in here for a lunch (apparently no dinner here as they close by 3PM . . . 5PM on Saturdays) . . . so until I get lunch there, I will leave off one star for the "unknown", but I suspect it will be wonderful.

Very cute place but service is slow. I understand being understaffed but we were forgotten by Dan who sat us. When we arrived we waited at the host(ess) stand for about 3 minutes and hike Dan tapped on the computer and then finally acknowledged our existence. He said it would be a 10-15 minute wait which we were fine with. After about 20 minutes the girl bussing the tables told Dan that a table was ready and had been ready. Dan sat us and forgot about us. After waiting at least 15 minutes I asked a waitress if she could help us - she asked who sat us and said she would get him. Dan returned and finally took our order and brought us water and then our drinks. The Diet Coke was terrible - it tasted like it was out of date. Dan tried to cover up the fact that he forgot about us by saying they were understaffed- there were 2 waitresses who were hustling and Dan who's role we were not sure about. Food was ok. Bottom line don't go if you are in a hurry or if you do go hope Dan is not your server.

Charming downtown eatery with a big, diverse breakfast menu, professional servers, and something for everyone. Kitchen was a little slow when we were there, but that happens -- server kept us updated and comfy. I had an omelet, son had chocolate chip French toast, and we both left happy.

Challah French Toast is the bomb. Vegan scramble is delicious too!

Came here for lunch during what I would think would be a busy time, but it was completely empty, not one customer. That should have been sign enough that this isn't a winner spot. But we stayed and got breakfast food. To say the food was mediocre is a stretch. The worst corn beef hash I've ever had. And for $16. Couldn't even eat it. Basic potatoes, no complaints. Eggs weren't seasoned at all. Toast was burnt. And it was really cold inside, didn't seem like the heat was on. It's not even 30 degrees outside so you would want to come into a cozy warm place to eat, this was not it. Waste of money, never again.

We came for breakfast/lunch around noon on a Saturday. We were greeted with Friendly service from our server and the food was tasty. One of us ordered breakfast and the other lunch. Nicely sized menu with lots of options.

Don't call it a diner anymore, apparently. Non-diner prices but food is just average. Still a nice location and welcoming spot.

Not open. Did not have phone message to that point. Website indicated that they were open. Wasted a trip there. If there were fewer than 1 star possible I'd give them that.

Diner food for bistro prices and they upcharge for every little thing. Upcharged for a bagel and then again for cream cheese! Absurd. Weird vibe in the restaurant and food was cold. Would not recommend.

Went there for my birthday. They put confetti on the table which was a very nice touch. The food was amazing and steak is perfectly cooked for what we temperature you want.

Excellent update to the old Station Diner in Newton Center. We went for breakfast on a Wednesday around 9 so it was not crowded. I am vegan and ordered the tofu scramble which was essentially Huevos rancheros. It was phenomenal. I often do not love tofu scramble for some reason (maybe it's the turmeric) but this was just delicious. My husband had eggs Benedict, potato pancakes and corned beef hash. Having eaten at Station Diner - to compare- the food is a bit more delicate but not 'too gourmet'. Flavors were just perfect. Highly recommend.
