This place has received so much hype in the past 3 to 4 months, that I had to check it out. It's a small place with a few tables. Not a lot of atmosphere but considering the level of activity behind the counter at 3 pm in the afternoon, they're certainly popular. They don't sell slices and it's cash only. I ordered a cheese pizza. Now I think this is pretty good pizza but at $18, it should be. The crust and sauce were very good and there was enough cheese but I was hoping that...read full review

Big Al's Pizza has become a popular spot over the past few months, drawing a lot of attention for its delicious offerings. The restaurant is small with only a few tables and has a simple atmosphere, but it is busy and lively, especially behind the counter. It is cash only and does not sell slices, which customers note when ordering. The pizza, particularly the cheese pizza, receives high praise for its crust and sauce, with many considering it very good or even exceptional. Some reviewers mention that the pizza could be crispier, and a few feel that NY-style pizza may not travel well, but overall, the quality is appreciated. The prices are around $18 for a cheese pizza, which some find worth it while others think it should be a bit better at that price. In addition to pizza, the subs are highly recommended, praised for their quick service and great taste. One reviewer even called their cheesesteak the best ever, surpassing Philly standards, with caramelized onions and flavorful ribeye steak. Despite the popularity and occasional sell-out of dough balls on weekends, customers enjoy the quick service and the automated voicemail system that keeps them informed. Many plan to return, whether for pizza, subs, or cheesesteaks, appreciating the overall tasty experience that makes Big Al's Pizza a notable spot in the area.
