Eastside Grill Reviews
My dad and I ate here last night before a show at Academy Music. Akasia was our server and we loved her. Our food was the best meal we have ever had together in all of our foodie ventures and we wish it was closer so we could go back. The steak tips were cut in house and resembled filet. Excellent food, excellent staff, in an environs where you and your party can hear one another converse. The Cajun influence is done well, with the spices and seasonings bringing out the flavor of the food rather than overwhelming it (I’m a Louisiana and Mississippi expatriate). Eastside Grill is a reliable choice for a weeknight dinner, known for its good food and friendly atmosphere. The tips fondue and shrimp creole over cheese grits are recommended, while the steak tips, cut in house, resemble filet. The outdoor seating area enhances the dining experience. Although portions may be small, the hot and delicious meals are worth the wait. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive, making everyone feel accommodated. With a leaning towards a Cajun menu, Eastside Grill also offers a variety of other options. Guests have enjoyed dishes like the incredible salmon, perfect swordfish bites, and the cheesecake, espresso martini, and steak tip/shrimp meal. The restaurant provides a full bar and is handicapped accessible. Although parking can be a challenge during peak hours, Eastside Grill remains a beloved dining spot after nearly 30 years, making it a NoHo institution.
