These folks are working really hard to bring a decent Jewish deli to Western Mass and it shows. Those being super harsh on them after they’ve only been open a matter of weeks might consider the many challenges they are facing and try them again as in my experience they are improving every day. Big ups from several visits on the knish, the babka rolls (totally yum), the deviled egg salad and whitefish salad and the whole Megillah sandwich. First, you need to know there's no pastrami corned beef until 11:am. No where online are people made aware of that. We drove down early from Greenfield just for the corned beef. Major disappointment.
The potato knish was plain and soft, lacking that crisp pastry top. The white fish was okay. The begal $$.

The best, most delicious pastries I've ever eaten! Looking forward to trying everything on the menu. I highly recommend Lichter & Levin!
Lichter & Levin Delicatessen is a fantastic gem. The food is unbelievably delicious, fresh, and top-notch, including pastrami sandwiches, Reuben corned beef, and knishes. The salt flake challah, amazing baked goods, and homemade salads like tuna, whitefish, and egg salad are also highlights. The place is super clean, the staff is friendly, and the service is great. With vegan spins on classics and a beautiful concept, it is a labor of love. This deli is a thrilled and excited addition to the valley.
