Mulino’s is a Northampton classic, offering hit or miss dishes. The pasta mains are delicious, with creamy seafood flavors and perfectly cooked fettuccine. However, the meatballs were disappointing and the mahi-mahi was tough and dry. The garlic bread, blue crab ravioli, and Caesar's salad were very good, but the fra diavolo sauce and crème brûlée fell short. The molten chocolate cake was more like a sponge cake and lacked flavor. Despite some inconsistencies, the restaurant is recommended for its classic ambiance and friendly service, with a helpful waiter. Just beware of limited parking in the area.
