There are some restaurants in the area we visit more in the fall and winter months - not the least of which is Noodles in NoHo. We stopped in for lunch today and as always the spring rolls, soup, and rice bowl were the perfect meal for a cool almost-fall afternoon. I’m a big fan of their coconut-based curry soup with udon noodles - it makes me feel as though my whole body is smiling with contentment. The tofu noodle soup was amazing. Hot chili sauce combined with crushed peanuts provided a perfect flavor balance in the broth. We also tried a noodle dish filled with an array fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables and tofu. As a starter we enjoyed flavorful and pleasantly lightly-doughy steamed veggie dumplings.
