My experiences here have only been for events, but I have been blown away but the food each time. The beer selection is right on with the atmosphere and food. An incredibly stylish but comfortable look and feel to the place makes you feel like you’ve been invited to a new friends home. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and personable. Over all great place.

The ambience here was a little... strange. The crowd dining even stranger. But I keep wanting to shout on the roof tops how good the mini desserts were. Perfectly proportioned for individual servings. SO. DAMN. GOOD!!

The best food in Northampton . We come up here 3 or 4 times a year and it’s not even close. Everything is made homemade and fresh. It’s a scratch kitchen. Grilled Shrimp with Thai sauce snd smoked wings blow even nyc/nj places away. And no I was not high!!!

Wonderful flavors We were visiting Smith College and we were looking for a really nice restaurant to have dinner before hitting the road. We found this place (really good ratings) and hopped in. They managed to accommodate us on a Saturday evening. The menu looked amazing. We ending up going with a steak, smoked pork tenderloin and lamb dish (their special). One really cool thing was with the first two you have a wide range of sauces to pair. I had the Bacon Ale Gravy and my daugher had the Mediterranean. Both were wonderful. My wife's lamb was really to die for as well. The only issue that happened was that they overcooked my daughter's steak (it was still really good) due to the crowds. They went above and beyond by comping the steak (we didn't ask for this and it simply happened on the bill). The service was super friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to eating there again in the future.

So... we came here on a date night, seeing that the place has 4.5 stars so we order the salmon with asparagus, smoked wings , Mac and cheese and pork ribs... Long story short the drinks were pretty good but the food was ALRIGHT... I feel like we could have made the same dishes at home way better... the best thing was the asparagus! How on earth are the side dishes better then the main course .. and the bill was 80$. We have been places that we paid half that and the food was Way better. I can go on and on about this but I’m gonna keep it short and the only reason I’m giving it 3 stars... the reason why 1 for the drinks, 1 for the asparagus ( SIDE DISH) , and 1 for the water!

The food and drink are pretty good, but they're trying to have it all by claiming to be open til 1 AM every night. Their posted hours are a joke: I'm standing outside at 9:15 pm on a Monday and they have all the chairs on the tables. This is not a rare occurrence; this is absolutely typical. DON'T come here expecting a late bite.

Just sat at the bar for drinks and dinner for 30 MINUTES and all we got was water and finally walked out. This is NOT acceptable!!

The food was amazing and the waitstaff was so friendly! The duck breast was cooked perfectly and we loved that we could choose our own finishing sauce. We’ll definitely be back!

Eight years later, I still really like going to The Sierra Grille and include it among a short list of places I regularly consider when looking to enjoy an evening out. I look forward to going here. The atmosphere lives up to the idea of what going out to dinner should be. The Sierra Grille is top of mind whether I'm having a business dinner, celebrating or meeting up with friends, or going out on a date. I visited The Sierra Grille three times in the past six months, and I'm sad to share that the spiral sweet potato fries have been off the menu each time due to the machine being out of order and there being only a single repair person who can service the machine. You might think, "Big whoop! They're just fries!" Well, these sweet potato fries are not just any old fries; they are one of the factors in my decision to bring people to this restaurant. Here's hoping the restaurant resolves this production issue because those particular sweet potato fries with the molasses mustard are a big deal and loved by many. Other favorites include pretty much anything from The Sierra Grille small bites and appetizer menus as well as the daily specials menu. The artisanal cheese plate with fruit, crackers, and crostini is another crowd favorite when bringing guests here. What's so great about The Sierra Grille is that there is something for nearly everyone, and everyone can customize their meal to their liking. Pick your entree and how you would like it prepared, and pair it with your choice of sides. One additional suggestion in terms of enhancing the experience to appeal to a more diverse audience is to include gluten-free cracker, crostini, and bread options (even if at an up-charge) so that there is an option for those to partake in the restaurant's many delicious offerings. I am looking forward to returning to the The Sierra Grille soon for another meal!

Long wait, expensive and just okay food. Disappointed.

Hadn’t been to the Grille in a few years, but yesterday it was the same comfy, relaxing bar I remembered. Exquisite glasses of Old Speckled Hen, and the most delicious orders of poutine, wings and panini that I have had in many years. Be back soon.

I've been to Sierra Grille many times over the past 10 years, and loved it. Unfortunately my most recent experience there was so ghastly that I will never be going back. Short version: We were seated late and our waitress and service were so slow that we got our food (entrees only) at 9:15 for a 7:30 reservation. Our waitress was rude when she wasn't MIA so we asked for a new one near the end of our meal. She actually came over to argue with us over this request... I have never tipped $0 in my entire life before, but there's no way you can think you'd get a tip from a job you were asked off of. Then the manager who was nowhere to be seen at all during the dinner came outside to berate us for this, not once asking us what had actually happened. Unfortunately with management like that I have little hope that things will get better. Long version, since there's no way to contact the owners and I'm hoping they are interested to know how their employees are running the business: Our reservation was for 10 people at 7:30 on a Saturday, and I realized on our way into town I hadn't gotten a confirmation call from the restaurant. On our way there I gave Sierra Grille a ring, confirmed that we were coming for 7:30, and let them know our party would be 9 instead. All seemed well. We showed up on time, and there were a lot of people waiting to be seated. I spoke to the hostess and she said the prior group was finishing up, so we waited about 15 minutes to sit. No biggie. Once we were seated, our server came over and noticed she seemed in a bad mood. We aren't a group that thinks a server needs to be sunshine and rainbows, we just expect to be treated fairly. We placed our drinks order of 2 bottles of wine, and she asked if we wanted to order our food then too. We said we'd be ready when she came back with the wine. It took her a while to come back, and she asked us if we wanted her to pour the wine for us (odd for a nice restaurant) but since she asked and wasn't very friendly, we said we would be OK just pouring it ourselves. At that point instead of taking our order, she said she'd be right back and stepped away. This was where it all went downhill. She didn't return for at least 10 minutes, and when she did she went to every table around us, with her back to us, and ignored when one of us said "hi, we're ready now". By the time we finally place our order with her, we're now around 8:30. Around 9 we're finding it strange that we haven't gotten our food or heard from our server. One of us goes up to ask about our food and we're reassured it's on its way. After another 10 minutes two of us go up to the hostess. We're very hungry at this point and have been sitting at our table for over an hour with just wine. We also ask if we can have a different server since ours has been MIA for a long time and we're frustrated. Of course then our original server shows up, opening up with "is there a problem here?". We let her know, yes there is. It's now past 9, we had a 7:30 reservation, and our food is nowhere to be seen. She hadn't come by to check on us or say anything about the delay and we were hungry and irritated. She's actually arguing with us on this, and then storms off. Shortly after, other servers come with our food. A birthday dessert comes out which we eat quickly because we just want to leave. Then, we get the bill. A bit shocking that after all this (Food coming at 9:15! For a 7:30 reservation! Our waitress literally coming over to argue with us!) the only thing comped on the check was the single birthday dessert. And we notice that we were over charged $26 on wine. We get the check revised, $0 tip, and got the heck out of there. I have never tipped $0 in my life before, but it was that bad. While we're outside waiting for our cab, a man we have never seen before comes out announcing that "for the table that just $0 tipped, [he] will cover it out of his own pocket". We

It's not often I get to Northampton so when I do I usually eat at a different restaurant each time. Tonight I had a Groupon for Sierra and I chose the Sierra burger, medium rare...it was scrumptious!
