From the moment we went into Union Station for a tour, we knew it was the right spot for us. Neil was so nice and informative from day one.

Even when our wedding plans changed, Neil was beyond accommodating and took away our stress by providing alternative options. We chose the atrium to have our ceremony in, and the space is so intimate and quaint. Our cocktail hour was in the lounge, and the hand-passed appetizers were delicious, and the French fry bar was such a worthwhile add-on that was enjoyed by all our guests. They even allowed us to customize an appetizer, and we had Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, which were outstanding.

The dinner at Notch 8 Grille was above and beyond. Every guest had nothing but positive things to say about the food. And the staff could not have been more wonderful! Elena, Andrei, and Afrike all went the extra mile to make sure each guest (and us!) were taken care of.

And of course, even day of, Neil and Jaylene were a stellar event management team. They walked us through everything, helped with anything they could, and maintained such a calm and professional demeanor the whole day.

We would recommend to anyone looking to have an event, do not hesitate to look at Union Station and Notch 8 Grille. You will not be disappointed!

My nonprofit recently hosted a large event in Union Station's Roosevelt room. It's a gorgeous location that didn't need too many extra touches to bring our event to life. The existing esthetic is great! Our guest had a great time! People are still buzzing about what a perfect event it was. So grateful to their amazing staff for making some last minute set-up changes for us. We also appreciated their attention to detail so everything went so smoothly leading up to the event. It was a pleasure working with Neil to coordinate everything we needed.

Honestly, I dont even know where to begin. My husband and I got married at Union Station back in August, and it really was an a experience to remember. šŸ¾ From the very beginning, first finding the venue and meeting Neil, it was nothing but smooth sailing. Neil is very responsive, accommodating, and so nice. He helped make it so easy to plan our wedding. Provides recommended vendors in the area and answers all the questions you may have. He made us feel confident that we had found the perfect venue and was truly exceptional all the way through, creating the most perfect day for us.šŸ¤Then there is Andrei. He was assigned to be our right-hand from pre-ceremony all the way up until the end of the night. He truly was our superhero! Anything we needed he was there. From having to run to Michaels to purchase new flowers to fix my bouquets, to getting us drinks/food, and helping with my kids! There just wasn’t anything he didn’t do.✨ We continue to receive endless compliments from our guests. Between the beauty of the venue itself, the decor, and the elegance of the serving staff delivering and placing each table’s meals all at once—it was a true five-star event the whole way through. Not to mention, there are so many places for great photos within the venue and venue area, tons of linen choices, decorations, and a nice bridal sweet. For anyone considering a wedding (or other event) at Union Station, DO NOT pass it up! We cannot express the joy and gratitude it truly was working with them.šŸ™ŒšŸ»

What a beautiful looking station! Nothing like that from my State. Great job on the building. Nice and clean.

We recently held a wedding rehearsal dinner at the restaurant. It was to say the least very underwhelming. We were told the space was a loft to the Tunnel Bar. In fact it was the foyer to both the restaurant and the tunnel bar. The pictures are extremely misleading. You definitely should visit the space to get an accurate view of the space. We had a party of 29 people. There was one server and server in training (bus boy). They were unprofessional. The bar service was unprepared and you will not get the same cocktails that are in the tunnel bar. All the food was unevenly cooked and not served hot. We provided them with specifics for the menu. It was clear the information was not followed in either the kitchen or the wait staff. Coffee and cream was not available only Decaf with packets of sugar and cream container thrown on table like diner. There are many other details that could be written into this review and have been to the attention of the management of the restaurant. If you are considering using this restaurant be very cautious. I have a number of positive reviews but I would that our experience was disappointing and embarrassing. I also pasted this same review on Yelp. It does get very positive reviews for a wedding venue but I would not recommend for a rehearsal dinner.

We got married about two weeks ago! We could not have asked for a better venue or space for our wedding. My husband and I were not completely sold on the idea of a wedding reception. We saw a ton of spaces around the Eastern CT/Western MA area. Union station was our last tour and it was everything we wanted. From start to finish- Neil and his team were the best and easiest folks to work with and they could not do enough for us. My husband and I are really mindful of waste and loved that we didn’t need to really bring anything into the space. From table decor and everything, Union station had it. Even picture frames for decor or the easel for our picture frame seating chart- it was all there! I dropped a box off for the ā€œdetailsā€ and Neil took care of it all. Communication was seamless and timely from the second we booked. Food is amazing. Our guests are still talking about it! My uncle followed the waiter around with the lamb chops during cocktail hour because they were so delicious. They are connected with some of the best vendors, which reduced so much stress. We had an extended cocktail hour and the trolley (also highly recommend) was running a little behind (we got married off site at a church) and I was so stressed about making sure the trolley had enough time to pick our guests up at the hotel nearby. Neil and his staff quickly pivoted and immediately reduced my stress by pushing things back a bit and communicating/directing our guests. The space is so unique and beautiful. Tunnel bar downstairs is a nice touch for guests and even just being in Northampton was nice for guests to have options. We had 70% of our guests travel from out of town and they loved the location! Weddings are expensive. They really are and so many of my friends complained during their weddings, they paid so much and did not know what they spent the money on. It wasn’t worth it but we can honestly say, the vendor connections and packages here helped reduced unnecessary cost or spending which mattered a lot for us and we absolutely got more than our money’s worth. Cannot recommend them enough.

I truly wish that there was an option to give 10 stars because our experience with the staff at Union Station banquets was above and beyond what I was expecting. My husband and I got married on October 11, 2025 and we were preparing and planning our wedding since 2023 and Neil was absolutely wonderful Wonderful when it came to the planning process and every question that I asked he was there to help me every single ridiculous request he was able to give us a fantastic answer or solution to it, and when we got closer and closer to the wedding and the questions and the problems got bigger, he was able to give us the solutions that we needed. As a type a personality, having somebody that on the ball with every single detail was unbelievably fabulous. Now, when it comes to the day of we had the best time because we had wonderful staff helping every single person that had questions. The bar staff was amazing. The waiters and waitresses were super helpful when I came to navigating any of the issues that we had because we did have somebody crash and we had one person without a table And they solved that we even were able to have a dog at the wedding and we were able to accommodate that as well. The two most amazing women that worked with us directly who were crucial to my sanity were Jaylene Guerra and Emma Smith!! Emma was on the ball when it came to helping us with getting food, helping me with my panic attack that I had before the wedding and Jaylene made sure that anything that we needed was provided. I cannot express enough how fabulous our day was because of the Union Station banquet team and I can’t imagine my wedding anywhere else because of how fabulous they made that day. We will be going back every single year to celebrate our anniversary at Notch 8 and we will make sure that we can pop over to say our thank yous for such a successful day and a successful start to our marriage.

We can’t even begin to say how AMAZING Union Station is. From our first time there we knew it was where we wanted to get married.

We want to first give thanks to Neil who really helped make our day perfect. His attention to detail and ability to make our vision come to life is exceptional. We would also like to give a shoutout to Emma and Jaylene who came in and made our ceremony and reception effortless.

We had access to the bridal suite early in the morning at 8 am. We also had a beautiful lunch provided by Union Station which was incredible.

Neil and the team set up the entire ceremony space and all the tables for the reception and made it so stunning.

We absolutely love Union Station and are so happy we chose this venue to get married!

We had the most magical wedding rehearsal dinner in the special back room in Notch 8 Grill. The Catering manager, Neil Gadbois, was so easy to work with and accommodating. He worked with us on every detail and was instrumental in the overall success of the event. Our event was for 38 guests and the room was perfect for an intimate special occasion. The food and service were outstanding. The room accommodated a buffet and dessert station. The head server, Andrei, was absolutely gracious and customer focused. I would highly recommend the Notch 8 for a smaller party. Kudos to the whole team, we appreciate everything!

Recently had my baby shower at the banquet and it was beyond beautiful. The day was easy and I received so many compliments from everyone who attended. We had a breakfast buffet and the food was amazing, flavorful and also received a ton of compliments. The staff was amazing and worked with me to ensure I was happy and comfortable during the entire event. I couldn’t be any more happy with my decision to have my shower at Union Station Banquet.

Union Station Banquets is an impressive venue steeped in history. The building itself exudes class and elegance, showcasing beautiful craftsmanship throughout. The food is outstanding, truly a highlight of the experience. Overall, it’s a perfect blend of charm, sophistication, and delicious dining.

We had our wedding here and it was an amazing day. The staff (especially Neil and Andre) were super accommodating and willing to work with us on nearly everything.

We had both the ceremony and reception on site. Neil allowed us to store some of our items at the venue overnight after our rehearsal so we didn’t have to worry about the items sitting in the car.

We were able to access the bridal suite first thing in the morning and be in the space all day and into the evening.

Every time my husband or I turned to look for something Andre was there ready to hand it to us almost before we knew we needed it.

The food and service was phenomenal and both my husband and I would definitely consider this space for any other events that we need to host in the future.

The selection of bakeries from the wedding package were all delicious, but we ended up selecting Frosted Swirl and had mini cupcakes with a cutting cake. We also found our photographer from their recommended vendors list.

Really unique venue and well laid out for a wedding. The primary reception area is fairly large and the bar and the atrium are set up with seating if people need a break from the louder reception area.

The entire staff was focused on making sure our event went smoothly and everyone had a great night. We chose to have the ceremony facing the mirrored ticket windows, but were concerned about the mirrors being in our photos. Neil let us install a temporary faux stained class cover over the mirrors to block the reflections (pictured below).

Overall we are thrilled with how our wedding day went and I don't think we could have picked a better venue between the space and the staff.

Turned an old train station into an outstanding venue, I'm an old Finnish Carpenter and most of the work there is outstanding.šŸ”ØšŸ’ƒšŸ•ŗšŸ˜

I'm too antisocial to have brought it up in person but there was hair in my food. Can't ever go back.

Some guy named Matt tried to buy a cigarette off me in the parking lot, he threatened me. My family and I just wanted a good meal. Only saw a name tag, but could also point the guy out.
