This is the first time we've been disappointed with the Chateau: -It took very long to get orders. -Food delivery took extremely long. One entree came out almost 30 min before everything else. -Presentation of food was not the usual format. My turkey tips meal came on a smaller plate than usual, and all the items were piled on top of each other. I get turkey tips whenever we are at the Chateau, so the difference was apparent. It might be due to it being a holiday, but in any case for what we paid for our meal, I expected better from the Chateau.
Although we had a great server, the food quality was not good. The soup was on cold side. The entrées are also cold and kind of a mishmash of Italian food. They need better quality control. Someone's not keeping their eye on the prize.
We had a later reservation due to a ceremony we were attending. Unfortunately, we did not know that the kitchen and bar both closed at 9pm. We felt very rushed. We were there for a really special occasion. There was definitely plenty of room for our large party and we all sat comfortably. My food was really good. I had the surf & turf, steak tips and haddock. Haddock was delicious. Left me wanting more. Unfortunately, this is the second time my daughter ordered the salmon there and said it was not cooked enough. She didn't bother sending it back because the kitchen was just about closed. I would not reccomend reserving a big party after 730p. It just isn't enough time to enjoy the dinner without the pressure of everything shutting down by 9p. The staff was kind, but kept reiterating that we didn't have a lot of time and they would be closing everything soon. The atmosphere is good and a great place for big parties, I would just reccomend and earlier reservations. If I hadn't been there before, I probably wouldn't be back because of the rushing we felt while we were there, but I have had other really good experiences at this particular Chateau and think this instance was circumstantial.
Unfortunately the service was not good at all . We waited for the waitress to come over and then we had a party of 10 but she only brought over 5 drinks at first and another ten minutes for the other drinks . The food took so long and one order of fried clams came out after everyone else had already started eating . Two of the fried clam plates were cold .
I was surprised that that marinara sauce was different than on prior visits. It was sweeter and had little herb seasoning. The chicken cutlet was done perfectly. They skimped on the mozzarella. My husband liked his fried scallops and fries. It took too long for us to get water and the hostess brought bread over.
Yummy dinner. Fresh fish and seafood. Broccoli cooked just right too. Ask for Danielle. A great waitress and lovely personality. Our first time and it was a hit! We will be back!
We've been going to Chateau for many years. Entrees were good, broccoli looked and smelled less than fresh (was it frozen?). Service was good (Kristen). Given the prices, we would expect fresh vegetables, which we'd find at similar restaurants with comparable prices.
We always enjoy our meals there. This trip however we thought the wait service was very poor. Our meals were delivered cold. We requested water and didn't get it until after we finished our main meal. We were never asked if we would like more coffee or tea. We will go back in the future hoping we don't get the same service. We do also go to the restaurant in Norton and enjoy it there by the lake.
First time we've ever walked out hungry. Server was very polite but seemed overwhelmed. For a short time, we were his only table. Never got our appetizer or meals. Meanwhile, a family of 6 who came 30 minutes after us got their meals. Decided to leave when another waitress trying to help him out came over and asked what we ordered.

The food at chateau is always delicious and comforting. Their bread and tomato-based pastas are knockouts. They are also incredibly helpful and accommodating when it comes to food allergies. A great local restaurant!
Dietary restrictions: They are very attentive and helpful if anyone in the party has an allergy!

Always a good experience. Comfortable, good for, good pricing.
Dietary restrictions: Told them about tree nut allergy one time. That person's order was brought out by a manager, with a cover on the plate.

We went there for a quiet dinner. And we got exactly that. No blaring television sets, and No loud background music. We ate in a large room and there were few other patrons on a Tuesday night, So we were almost alone. Exactly what we needed on that particular night! We have been there many times so we are familiar with the menu and got food that was satisfying. Service was excellent.
Parking: Parking on three sides of the building.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp on the front of the restaurant.
