I was treated respectfully, did not engage too much as the server was a bit on the quieter side. I think the place how it looks and atmosphere has so much potential if the food was tasteful. I tried twice, with hopes that I perhaps went on a bad day or a different cook or something. But both times I really found that the beef and beef with cheese were distasteful. The meat appeared boiled and was not the typical flavors of Dominican or Puerto Rican culture. I think with how great the outer appearance is (chill vibes) quality was expected however it did not meet my expectations. Overall they appeared cheap in the service (one napkin, no plates) portions of meat in the patty was poor, tasted like cheap ingredients except the outer patty (tasted regular and was cooked appropriately)The Tamarindo Juice was great though ??‍♀️Adding to my comment because the owner responded. Its constructive criticism. Businesses have both positive/negatives reviews. I do my best to be honest and I dined in twice we left to “take it home” because we werent going to finish it.I was actually going to say I can help with a good homemade Sofrito.Look, I would love to see a hispanic business thrive, but i just leave reviews from my experience even if the truth is uncomfortable.Part of your success will be, respectfully accepting that you cannot please everyone (there are ignorant people). But also seeing what can be improved. I said there was potential. Im sorry if my honesty made you upset because you can clearly see Im Latina. With that said what Id like is better flavors that represent culture. I was actually wondering if flavors were changed to please the white american culture ( Im not accusing you) it was a thought that crossed my mind. So while you are telling me I'm not American because of my features or last name- I'm telling you the Latino flavor can improve.I do hope your business thrives. I hope instead of responding how you have, you take the feedback you do not like and see if theres validity and improve what can be improved.Your not going to please everyone. Thats a fact. But all businesses have highs and lows. Theres always room to grow and improve.Lastly its not good to respond out of emotion. Im not a rude person nor am i ignorant, the internet is overpopulated with that and I don't want to be one more. But there has to be a level of respect from owner to community on how you respond. If someone says something bad be the bigger person do what you can to maintain peace. A successful business doesn't need to please everyone but its wise to take inventory.

Food is mediocre. Barely any season. Literally just a little sazon. Barely any filling (with a steep price) and the filling doesn't taste fresh... like at all. The service is subpar. I rather go in the city to get authentic empanadas or pasetlitos that actually taste good and 1/2 the price.

Been here a few times as it's convenient to the Indian grocery. So far my favorites have been the spinach and cheese and the corn and cheese. The friend the empanada immediately so it takes a minute or so. (Just enough time to run into the grocery) I like it well enough. The space is clean and adequate for a fast casual style restaurant. I'm looking forward to trying the blackberry shake.

Very greasy and flavorless. The special sauce is thousand island dressing, apparently. They also assured us they could make a gluten free empanada for someone with a severe gluten allergy. That person spent the night in the ER from gluten poisoning.

If you didn’t know, Prieto is a derogatory term for Black people, and the way they treat black customers is even worse. I think that the owner should reconsider the business decisions that they have made in opening this restaurant, because they are deaf to any sort of critical feedback. I will never step foot in this establishment ever again. If you even consider eating here, consider yourself a racist.

Just ok. Lots of dough but not much filling. The beef and cheese tasted off seasoning wise. The chicken was ok. The guy at the register coughing up a lung then spitting in the sink I could do without. He couldn't even be bothered with customers. Too many good places in Norwood to go back soon.

the ground beef had great seasoning, the chicken however was dry and bland.100% win on the portion size and the Monday special hits the mark on

Guy working was very friendly. Decent sized empanadas. Got the beef, chicken and shrimp empanadas. Think shrimp was my favorite out of those options. Definitely will try others on the menu next time.
