This is one if the best places in this part of the cape for fried seafood...probably other food too, but I have only gotten fried. The service is super friendly. Rates a 5 plus
It was great in previous years but is apparently closed now. The lobster shack to the left of it has superb lobster rolls.
Great place for delicious food. It's simple and charming. We have been coming for years and always enjoy our time!
Awesome quaint seafood restaurant near the location of beautiful sunsets in Rock Harbor. Really nice staff. Old and simple setting. No commercialism. Just love this place ❤️ See you next year for a delicious
Tucked away in Rock Harbor you will find Cap't Cass. Counter stools and tables, cash only, and all locally harvested seafood. If you are looking for Cape Cod, this is it.

This was our first visit to Cap't Cass even though we are Orleans regulars every summer. The reviews are accurate -- the food is solid and the experience is authentic, casual and friendly. The lobster roll was delicious and the fried scallops were amazing. When we were there, the entire restaurant sang happy birthday to a woman who was there with her family celebrating her 90th birthday -- all orchestrated by the Cap't Cass staff. That's the type of place it is!
This is a completely authentic Cape Cod seafood shack. You need to bring CASH if you want to eat here. It’s a wonderful throwback, a local joint serving what looks like mostly local customers. Stay away if you can’t eat fried food, I think that’s all that is served. We had fish ‘n chips, fried clams dinner plate and the scallops plate. Served with slaw & fries. Don’t make the rookie mistake of eating too many fries. You’re going to leave full no matter what. Cap’t Cass is a 100% genuine experience. Pay in old school hard copy check or use cash. No plastic. BYOB.
lobster roll was huge, exactly what i wanted when you think cape cod seafood. the location is great right by the water, we take the kids to the beach there at low tide almost daily when in orleans and this is right there so we order take out sometime too.
My husband and I came last night for dinner and had THE best meal during our long weekend on The Cape. The food was delicious and the service was even better. Our waitress was so kind and personable. She helped us decide what to get and was very attentive. My husband and I split the stuffed crabs and the scallop Plate. We left full and happy. The restaurant was cute and homey. We never wanted to leave! 10 stars!! And an extra 10 stars for our server who was the kindest woman ever!!
Loved everything about this place. Location just off the dock of scenic rock harbor. Interior walls decorated with old polaroids and humongous lobster claws. The old Coca Cola refrigerator that still works. And the food. Scallop platter, shrimp platter and clam plate; how to choose? Well get one of each and share. Had too much clam chowder? Get the she-crab chowder. Great service. Bring cash. No cc’s.
