Truth in advertising! The sign outside says 'Best Lobster Roll'. And it is!! Which is quote a surprise, because those signs are everywhere this time of year.
I have been in pursuit of the best lobster roll on the Cape for the last ~12 years. Qualities the lobster roll must have to rank:
Size: This lobster roll has a solid (as advertised), 6 oz of meat. I don't know where else offers such a generous amount. The Chatham Fish Pier is close. But much more $$$

Based on the reviews, SurfSide Seafood & Lobster Depot offers the highest quality, largest lobster roll at the best price. The sign outside says 'Best Lobster Roll', and it is true. The lobster roll has a solid 6 oz of meat, mostly knuckle and tail, on a buttered and toasted bun. It is lightly dressed with a smidgeon of mayo and some lemon zest. The hot version is just butter and lemon zest. The cost is $24.95. The menu offers lots of great looking options: poke bowls, fish tacos, burrito bowls, fried seafood, a great fish chowder, and a smoked soup. The fish and chips plate had two huge pieces of fish with a super light and flavorful batter. The clam chowder was buttery and delicious. The service is incredible, friendly, and welcoming. The establishment is super clean. There is a counter inside to eat at, right over the lobster pools. It is an excellent fish market with a good variety of seafood and shellfish.
