The food there is like having a nice home cooked meal! It's a "comfort food" here. Upon arrival, there was no hostess so I grabbed the drink menu to read it while waiting (they were just sitting out in stacks) and the hostess appeared to be put-off with me reading the menu while we waited to be seated......she gave me a dirty look, but I don't think she realized I saw it. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive, however. The strawberry rum punch was well made and I really enjoyed my salmon - delicious glaze and well cooked mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts!

My husband and I and two of our kids stopped in for dinner a couple nights ago. I haven’t been to the whistle stop in many years, but we decided to give it a shot. The food was great. Our server Lacey was phenomenal. Very sweet and incredibly friendly. She made sure we were well taken care of the entire time we were there despite how busy she was. Between the food and the excellent service we will definitely be returning!

l had the steak mushroom onion pepper and cheese sub, my wife had the cowboy Burger,And my friend had fish and chips. The steak was excellent the steak was nice and thick and shaved properly it wasn't like the steak- um garbage they're feeding us now in other places that charge more money. Our server Kayla what's phenomenal she knew the menu and was very pleasant to deal with. The fish was cooked right, not dry just flaky enough . I usually have complaints when I go out to eat,not this time.

First off the bartender is SO NICE and literally makes you want to order. She’s so great.2nd the food, is immaculate. Yes it is expensive, but you get what you pay for. And the food is absolutely top notch.Friendly staff & Good food. Highly recommend.

This establishment used to be excellent! For years it was a local place with great food and service. It has gone downhill for at least the last 2-3yrs. The food is ok, but needs a fresher up. The service is the main issue. The servers mostly don’t care at all. I had a server today who I had to go find since she was just chitchatting with the cook……I sat for close to 15mins just to order beverages and food. Again, she was leaning against the wall doing nothing, so I asked are my drinks ready? She was very annoyed and got them since they had been ready sitting on the bar for her. The food was sitting waiting to get picked up and I was getting up to get them , but another server brought them to us….ok, I’m going to mention her name Jaleen. All set, her constant annoyance with not only my party but others. No thanks Whistle stop. You had top servers, but they were not treated properly, so good luck with the bottom of the barrel

My office (East Coast Metal Roofing) orders take out from here a few times a week. We’re always pleased with the service, friendliness of the staff and the food! Kiki is my favorite bartender and always makes sure to label our Togo bags which makes it so much easier when I get back to the office with the food. Love it here 10/10 recommend

Being a local guy who doesn't cook, I go to the Whistle a lot, as it's the closest restaurant to my home. The servers are usually friendly and the food generally sucks. They haven't updated their menu in 8 years literally and figuratively (they're sticky and worn out). The bar is half stocked, beer, wine, and spirits, good luck getting anything specific if they know how to make it. The whole place is dirty, and the men's toilet has been cracked for years.Yes, I have told them many times! To their faces, and here on Google. Nothing changes. The employees blame the owner. The fish obviously stinks from the head.I had hoped that something would change when the new restaurant opening next door took all their employees and customers, but no. Now the new place is too busy to get in. Therefore I subject myself back to the Whistle.This picture is of the inedible food they served me tonight, 11-9-23.
