CJ's is great, had excellent Prime Rib and Lobster dinners there recently. Staff was friendly and meals were served perfectly. Very comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend.

All I can say is don't judge a book by it's cover. The decor lighting are very dark and dated however the food was outstanding. Had the fish and chips which was prepared to perfection but the reason I am writing this review is to proclaim this restaurant as having the best coleslaw I have ever eaten. Shared my thoughts about it with the waitress who stated I was not the first to have this opinion.

Best seafood and prices. We had lobster meals for only $24 including soup/salad and 2-sides. The home made inion rings are the best I ever had. The drinks are good and cost about 1/2 the price of other places--$6 for a glass of wine. The inside looks like you are in a shake on the ocean, not noisy.

The atmosphere has been tricky from the beginning, however, the food is always amazing. There service was great also this time. They definitely could use another waitress and another person to clear tables and help with the cooking.

We stood by a sign that said "please wait for hostess"...after a minute someone yelled to us to "just come on in." And that was the last interaction we had. No menu, no greeting, not even an "I'll be right with you ". They had 2 servers, and 2 parties of 2 people each, and they couldn't handle the 3rd party to enter. I had heard good things about the food, but didn't get to try any. We left after 7 minutes of being ignored.

Great seafood and a good quantity for the price! It was a little dark in the dining area but eventually our eyes adjusted. The setting feels like a dock house in Maine, painted wood and seafaring ornaments displayed. I would absolutely go again if I am in need of some fresh seafood!

It has a very musty smell inside. The fish was dry (as I was told) and nothing really for vegetarians. I get that it is a seafood place, but offering a grilled cheese is not what you really want .

So delicious I can’t even begin to describe it. CJs is absolutely a hidden gem in this little town. I got Lobster Mac and cheese and the lunch clam strips. So fresh, so delicious. The lobster Mac and cheese seems to be baked with breadcrumbs on top, but it’s unlike any baked Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. It was cheesy, wet/far from dry in the best way, buttery. And of course there was huge pieces of lobster in it! I was shocked. 100% worth the price tag. The best lobster Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. And I was craving clam strips that day, they did not disappoint. It came with two sides so I went with a potato and fries. Both great! The fries were cooked great and well a potato is hard to get wrong! The clam strips have great seasoning balance. And I was shocked to taste the tartar sauce! So so good it tastes homemade. Delicious. The lady who helped us at the counter was a sweetheart. My favorite little hidden gem of a spot. I couldn’t recommend more

Love the service and the food is soooo good! Highly recommended. This WAS my review until today 3/26/23 I have been a regular guest at this restaurant for 3 years now. I am so broken hearted in updating my recent experience I really don’t know what to say but disappointment is the best way to explain it. We sat down over 10 min just to get our drink order. Other than us 2 other individuals in one table and 5 individuals in the other table in the restaurant that had anyone other than us. The table right in the middle of us empty. When we walked in the people where leaving and it was empty. 10 min just to get our drink order in and after 15 min someone sat on the table that had been empty 15 min. Now we put our orders in still waiting. No salad bread nothing. These two white individuals walk in and sit after 15 min of us waiting still for our stuff it took them 2-4 min for the people that just walked in to get the bread the salad and still we were waiting for our stuff almost 20 min in. I am so broken hearted that after 3 years of coming to this restaurant on a regular basis I had to experience the racial injustice I did today. I will never step foot in this place. And maybe some will say who cares it’s just 2neals a month our money will not be missed. But it’s more than that. It’s just plain sad that we were treated this way after being customers for 3 years. But I guess it really does not matter cause this is USA 2023. How sad!
