I miss the old owner when everything was super fresh. Each time I have been there no matter the day of the week things are never that fresh pastries have tasted stale or just a day or so old. Queijadas de NATA unless you gap Friday you miss out because it won't be as good. I got some freezer food life chorizo and cheese the freezer didn't feel as cold as it should be and the cheese tasted nasty not sure if not fresh or maybe to do with the freezer temperature ruining it. They say its fresh so not sure I know its not supposed to taste the way I did but business will say its fresh just to sell. I rather pay extra and go tremont street to be honest at least it dies taste fresher. The Brazilian girl at the counter should get educated and know where the items come from cheese just because its Portuguese doesn't mean its from Portugal so if asked where is it from she should know if the cheese is from sao Miguel or sao jorge etc. Just stating my opinion based on my experience so far more then a few times. It sucks to have a Portuguese bakery and not being able to get real fresh baked goods and Portuguese dairy ect maybe its because I don't go often so maybe if you want real freshness you must go early morning or every week but still. I have even gotten bread that supposedly was baked fresh each day be stale. Discouraging makes one really miss the way it was run by the old owner.

If you want fresh,I mean FERRRESH rolls, this is there place to go,they have pastries, even coffee(in jars for purchase),I think its decaf, but it's really good!...the ladies there are always friendly, cupcakes could be a little fresher,I got a few, they were good,I can imagine how they tasted first day out!!

EZ QUAD

Good place to get some Portuguese goodies. They have the Portuguese fried dough called malasadas, or the custard style pastries such as pastel de nata or queijadas..the rice pudding is great too called aroz doce..

Visiting from out of town, so glad to find our way to this gem! Everything we had was delicious, fresh and served with the friendliest service. The kids were excited to pick out a cupcake and I got some Portuguese rolls and cookies to take home. All was amazing!Prices were very reasonable too. Hope to be back next time we are this way

This is my go-to for specialties, like Portugese sweet Easter bread, and Easter -themed desserts. Nice array of pastries.

I was in the area and bought a couple of things. Was not very good (very dry) or fresh today. I haven't sampled everything but will not return.
