We recently ordered from Gallo Nero Ristorante in Peabody for my mother’s 85th birthday, and it was truly one of the BEST dining experiences our family has ever had. Every single dish was exceptional, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride and passion. We ordered a little bit of everything, and every item exceeded our expectations. The Thick Sicilian Pizza, both cheese and pepperoni, was absolutely outstanding, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with rich, authentic flavor. The tomato and mozzarella salad was incredibly fresh, bright, and beautifully balanced. The pastas were the stars of the show. The Lobster Ravioli, generously filled with real lobster, was hands-down the best we have ever tasted anywhere. The Butternut Squash Ravioli was velvety, sweet, and unbelievably fresh. The Eggplant Rollatini was tender, cheesy, and baked to perfection. We also received soft dinner rolls and the most delicious homemade focaccia, courtesy of the owner, and it was out of this world. And speaking of the owner, Nick, deserves special recognition. He went above and beyond for us. He made an exception to deliver the order personally, ensuring the food arrived on time and piping hot, and he took the extra step to double-check that everything was perfect. His kindness added a personal touch that made the celebration even more meaningful. Gallo Nero made my mother’s milestone birthday truly unforgettable. In town for the week, and my daughter found this place. This was the best Italian food I've ever had, and I travel every week. I wish I would be here more often, we might be back for dinner tomorrow! We got the Arancini, we got a shared plate of gnocchi pesto, I got the lasagna, and she got the seafood pasta. Every single thing we had was amazing, we are both going into food comas. I would definitely come here as much as possible, even with a whole bottle of wine was almost the same price as burgers and beers we had locally yesterday! Service is unbelievable as well.

I was recommended this restaurant -Gallo Nero-and did not disappoint, ordered a chicken portabella pizza and Alcamo salad, delicious , hadn’t had a good pizza in a while , atmosphere very warm, music perfect to let you interact, attentive staff. Next time have to try the special 👍🏼
Not sure what the all rave is about this place I got 3 take out pasta dishes and it was just meh. In each one of the dishes, the pasta was so overcooked. It was mushy. The chicken piccata didn’t even taste like chicken piccata no lemon whatsoever the chicken broccoli ziti the broccoli was just mixed inside of all the Alfredo mushy little tiny pieces. Usually a chicken broccoli has nice chunks of broccoli yeah way overcooked dinners for $68. I expected a lot more from this place and with all the reviews it seems to get not really sure what happened last night I wouldn’t go back and waste my money tasted nothing more than a fast food place that’s what I feel like I got Should’ve just stopped at McDonald’s if that was the case probably would’ve been better and a hell of a cheaper. I’m sorry to be rude but for $68 $70 not good at all.
