This place makes its own Old World sausages — and nobody does it better. We don’t live anywhere near them but any time we are out and even close, we make the trip. Always worth it!!

Karl's is a well stocked place to get all the delightful German items you need. From candy and cookies to salad dressing, vinegars, mustards, etc. The deli counter has excellent sausages and meats. So worth a visit.

Temple of German Food I like the sausage chapel. Just had the store made Bauerwurst for dinner and they were a delight. Range of German deli is excellent. Bake goods. A good source for European candy and treats. Covid.took away very nice cafe but the important thing is they were able to keep the store open. Personnel always knowledgable and helpful. Always a pleasure to shop there

There are not many places in New England where one can get authentic German (and to some extent, Scandinavian) food. This is the best I have found in Massachusetts. It is mostly a "buy and take home" deli type place, although I believe they do have some hours when they operate a cafe to dine on site. Their deli and bakery items are authentic, though. Just like I remember having when I lived in Germany years ago. If you live in MA, and are craving real German food, this is the place to go.

Excellent german and polish food. It's the only one spot in the North Shore area. Great variety and friendly service.

I checked it out today for the very first time and I was totally overwhelmed at how disorganized this place was. The shelves are mostly a mish-mash of different stuff without a clear idea where anything is. There was a line but it was not clear where the line’s end was. There were a number of products that caught my eye but I didn’t buy anything since I didn’t see a cashier. It was very confusing. I would like to go back when someone from their establishment manages to explain the situation in the store. It’s really disappointing because we can use good European grocery stores in Massachusetts but they need to be organized and welcoming. Just imagine how much more profitable it can be but it’s not.

Happy to get some sausages and cheese you can not find in your regular grocery store. Love the liverwurst the white sausage, my recommendations is also for the blood sausage, delicious with boil potatoes and apples

The in-house meats are very good. However, the inside of the store is in shambles. Unrelated items in every aisle.Drop it where's there's room. I'm disappointed to see it go down like this.
