My wife brought me here the other day when I made an offhand comment about being in the mood for some BBQ. I got the ribs, mac n cheese, and cornbread. It was fantastic! Next time, I’ll try the brisket, as the people next to me ordered that, and it looked really good.

The sides and the meatloaf were perfect. From the South myself and I’m very picky about my BBQ sides. My god, this was stellar. Not that the meat was bad, but next time I may just get a full meal of sides.

First off I want to say the restaurant smells amazing the bathrooms were very clean and they also smelled great. The food was awful. I got the barbecue sampler. The chicken was okay and the ribs were decent but the pulled pork was just terrible. The mac and cheese was bland and I got a sweet potato that was not dressed at all they literally just tossed it in the oven and then tossed it in some tin foil. The cornbread it was also kind of rubbery and I don't even know how you do that. If this sounds like a $25.00 deal then you'll be very happy.

This ain’t a meal — it’s a full-blown therapy session with ribs. The meat was fall-off-the-bone and glazed like it had a passport. That mac & cheese was baked with love and childhood memories. Mashed potatoes? Creamy with that gravy punch. And that cornbread… don’t talk to me while I’m holding it. It’s personal. Tennessee’s Real BBQ is the kind of spot where you go quiet after the first bite. Don’t play with it. Just pull up hungry. The girl who rang me up was super nice! Thank you!

Been coming here for years with my son, who is obsessed with the place for some reason. The food’s alright, but not the best BBQ I’ve ever had, even outside of the south, but can’t expect much for Peabody I guess.
More recently what really rubbed me the wrong way was an interaction in the restaurant with an employee whose name is evidently Johnny based on the name label on his shirt who thought it was appropriate to try to dress down one of the cashiers loudly during dinner rush for moving something, for several minutes. Highly inappropriate for anyone in any industry to call someone out in front of customers, ridiculously unprofessional, and just plain rude. My wife actually said something to him, and the cashier who got an undeserved public tongue lashing, and then Johnny had the gall to come over to our table to explain his side of things and try to win us over to his side and explain why the woman cashier was in the wrong. Just completely and utterly unbelievable, I have no words.
Not sure if the guy has a napoleon complex or what the deal is, but using other employees as your personal verbal punching bag, and ESPECIALLY in front of customers is a whole new level of insanity I’ve never seen in the years I’ve been coming here.

I've been here before for several menu items. I was impressed. I came back months later Pork Ribs all fat no edible meat and very rough. I got a chicken thigh plate and it was reddish inside and rough. I'm not sure if new management but seems like it.
