First time at Mother Anna’s but I know it will not be our last time! The food was excellent, with very generous portions. The service was also fantastic. We’ll be back soon!

New favorite Italian restaurant on the South Shore. Their tomato sauce is incredible. Our favorite is their Chicken Parmigiana and everything we’ve tried has been delicious!

Disappointed with food, not bad just not that good. Special appetizer, arancini, was better with a very nice sauce. The veal parmesan was overwhelmed by the thicker heavy sauce, could not even tell if there was mozzarella on it. The portion was large but quality lacking. Shrimp scampi featured six quite small tasteless shrimp. Sauce was fine, light buttery but not really distinctive.

I have been a long time customer and ordered the veal Parmesan to go when I brought it home. It was tough like beef jerky and was very very thin. It was so sure it was not edible I called up and the girl said I’m really sorry I will credit your back right now your card a month later my bank statement it was never credited. I stop by the restaurant with my bank statement and the girl at the front desk said she would let her manager know and will get right back to me the next day which never happened I called a week later And got the same story that my manager will definitely call you. I called today and spoke to a manager and she said we don’t give money back. We usually will give you a credit towards food which was never told to me and that if I wanted a refund only the owner can do that and he is on in on Mondays the day that they are closed and told me that the girls at the desk they don’t know they are just teenagers , the amount of effort that I’ve put in trying to get a refund is horrific I will never go there again and they can keep the money they claim the quality is as good as the north end the Olive Garden is better than this location. I’m not one to write reviews, but they earned this one with all of the running around in lying to me. Over $23 go to Mamma Mia’s much better and they take care of their customers more. That’s what happens when the owner is not involved anymore. And the manager doesn’t know how to do the right thing.

We have been going to Mother Anna’s for several years and always had a good experience. Sorry to say this past visit was awful. Four of us dining and my dish was not delivered with others. Waitress stated they were training a new cook and he made the dish wrong so they had to tweak it. Right there I should have canceled the dish. Well when it came out it looked like a pile of dog poop. Right there I should have sent it back but didn’t wasn’t to make a fuss while dining with others. No flavor to the dish so I poked at it then stopped eating it. The cook had come out of the kitchen and was looking at my dinner from a distance. Several times. He knew there was something wrong with the dish. When the waitress cleared our plates she asked the others at the table how their meals were BuT didn’t ask me. So she knew it was not right as well. (Which is the reason I gave her mediocre rating). Any way there are too many other Italian restaurants to choose from that I would waste my money there again. My only regret is that I shouldn’t have held back my complaint and should have asked for a different meal. Don’t order the mushroom tortellini dish

Excellent food great staff - go there for all special occasions
Mother Anna’s, a quaint Italian restaurant in Pembroke, Massachusetts, might be small, but it’s packed with charm. The dark, cozy, old-school furniture sets a welcoming atmosphere. The service is consistently friendly, and the restaurant is always bustling, regardless of the day. For parties of five or more, I recommend making reservations.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The menu offers a variety of Italian dishes, with the chicken parmigiana standing out as the best. The eggplant and veal parmigiana are also exceptional, arguably the best on the South Shore. We’ve been dining here for years, and whether you’re local or just in the mood for Italian cuisine, I highly recommend a visit to Mother Anna’s.

Have eaten here several times. Love everything I’ve tried. Love the food! Veal parm is excellent! Their cheesebread is so good, I could eat it as a meal. The atmosphere reminds me of an old time restaurant dinner with the family place, or a Boston Italian restaurant. It can get loud if there are large groups/families there. But that makes it feel like home. Waitstaff are good for most part. If it’s too busy, sometimes they might forget something. That’s to be understood, so long as it’s not too many times or things. They are very accommodating for reservations. I just love their food!
Parking: There’s limited parking directly in front of the restaurant. But, there’s more parking out back too. All parking is FREE.
