If you want to be ignored by a bartender who is clueless about beer stop here. All the possible regulars are gold. We came in to get an appetizer and few rounds of beers. Made it known. Possible owner was nice and knew the beers on tap, but bartender didn’t know beers. Place did get a little busy, we were ignored as people who came to the bar after us who got food and drinks immediately while we sat and waited. Sat a while without a drink and about an hour and never got asked again about food after people who came after were eating. I had to scream to her can we check out please. If I didn’t we may have sat there with no service till closed, for that’s how ignored it felt. So, yeah, that’s what this bar is about.

Let me start by saying, I emailed the restaurant via their website explaining that I'd rather let them know about our experience privately instead of leaving a negative review because I didn't know the circumstances of the particular night we were there. However, it's been over a week and no acknowlegement of my email, so I will now leave my public review. We made reservations for 5:30 for a table of 4, figuring we had enough time for a 7:30 show at the nearby Colonial Theater. The place was not busy when we arrived, one larger group and a few couples, but got extremely busy as time passed. This place was severely understaffed. Two waitresses waiting on tables and bartending. When the waitress did come around she was so quick you couldn't say anything before she was gone again. Ordered 2 appetizers, one came that wasn't what we ordered. Flagged down waitress and got our correct appetizer (still got charged at the end for the one we didn't order). Dinner took over an hour to come out. Not impressive at all. At this point, the chef's son was who brought us our food. One entree was missing the asparagus. He went and checked on it and was told that the first ordered was burnt and a second order was being cooked. When that came out, it was hard. Other entrees had veggies and potatoes that were inconsistently cooked (some hard, some cooked). Had to flag down the waitress for our check while my husband was still eating and cancel our third round of drinks because they never came and we had to leave for the show. Ended up making it to the show just as it started. Great atmosphere, poor service, food not the best (although my short rib was very tasty!). I was hoping for a great experience, but needless to say, we will not be back as we feel the $200 plus that we spent was not worth the experience we had at all. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. It could have been an off night for whatever reason, but we won't be giving it a second chance.

There was only 1 waitress on she was so busy we couldn’t get her attention. We got a wrong appetizer. The food was small portions and my chicken had fatty skin and bones. The asparagus was hard. We got charged for the wrong appetizer. We were late for a 7:30 show and got there before 5:30. Had to cancel our last drinks because we didn’t get them and had to leave . Won’t be going back . $200. for 4 of us

My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant and have never been disappointed! We try to come here once a month if we can, and plan to go soon for my birthday dinner! The food is AMAZING. Fantastic quality for the price you pay, which mind you the prices I find are very reasonable compared to most restaurants these days. My husband orders the pork belly sandwich every time, and we always share the burrata toast. I’ve tried a few other things off the menu and all have been amazing. I 100% recommend eating here you will not be disappointed!

I recently dined at 101 Restaurant and Bar, and overall, the experience was just okay. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were friendly, but there were some issues with the food. I tried the fried green tomatoes, but they were served as red tomatoes instead, resulting in a dish that was watery and soggy, lacking the crispness and flavor that comes with green tomatoes. If they had run out of green tomatoes, or were going to make this change, I would have appreciated being let know, so I could decide whether or not I still wanted to order this dish or choose something else. Additionally, the salad was enjoyable, but it had too little dressing. Our server, who was very nice, promptly brought more upon request. However, the additional dressing appeared to be thinned out with milk or water, which diluted the flavor compared to the initial serving.

We’ve been to the 101 Restaurant and Bar for dinner twice in the past two months and the food there is absolutely amazing! Last night, I tried the 40 ounce ribeye and it was fantastic! Honestly, the best steak I have ever eaten!! My wife has gotten the pecan crusted catfish both times and that too has been superb! Even though we live in Southern New Hampshire, we will make the drive 2 1/2 hours to eat at this restaurant again and again. Whether in this area or not, please try the 101 Restaurant and Bar as you will not be disappointed!!

Maybe it was the time we got there (9:30 am), but the scrambled eggs were dry, the sausage was hard and chewy, and the bacon was brittle and tasteless. Overall, not a pleasant experience.
