We always enjoy dining at Jaes but now they have a new policy and allow only 1 check per table. While I can certainly understand not wanting to have 10 checks at one table, we were just a 4 top. It's just awkward for the customer whereas not so for the server

Food is quality, but price to portion is probably the worst ratio I've experienced in a while. Paid $42 for spring rolls and "beef Bulgogi" ... might be 5 bites of beef in here, two or three times as many vegetables. Sad to see.

Upon a recommendation from our resort we were staying in Pittsfield MA, we celebrated my wife's birthday today My wife chose the Grilled Lamb Chops and I chose the Shanghai Duck. Amazing dishes and for appetizer we had the Wagyu Beef fried dumplings. The dining room Setting is unique and classy. Our wait server and manager Mr. Winn who deliver exceptional 5 star service. Because of that we will return tomorrow for the 3-6 Sushi and appetizer 1/2 price deals. Great job

We have been long term customers and have always enjoyed the food at this restaurant. We came for dinner before a concert. We were seated quickly but others who arrived after us had ordered their food while we had not. A waitress not ours saw we were upset and took our order which included appetizers and main courses. My main course came out about 5 minutes before any other food. It was pad Thai which I have had many times. The noodles were stuck together and tasteless. When everyone else's main courses came so did our appetizers. It was so disorganized. My appetizer was terrible. I was disappointed as we took friends to come to one of our go to restaurants and it was subpar to what we were used to.

With advanced reservation, we were still seated at the table with a big crowd. Loud talking, loud laughing like they own the place. My order was taken mistakenly with two appetizers and the cranberry joice was simply horrible. It used to be good but now it is just aweful.

I would not recommend this place unless you are a hotel guest, and only for the convenience factor. The service was not good. Our waitress disappeared on us for most of our meal. The food was not tasty, and definitely not authentic. It was one of the worst meals we've had in the Pittsfield vicinity.

It was really busy so my friend and I sat at the bar. We ordered some appetizers , sushi and drinks. Everything was really good and the prices were great too.

We were looking for a place to eat on a Saturday night which is busy everywhere. Jae's at Hilton Garden Inn had an Open Table reservation when we wanted. The table was ready shortly after we arrived. Jae's was very busy but service was prompt. The crab wonton appetizer was delicious and our entrees (3 noodle dishes plus a duck entree) were tasty, hot, and very filling. This was our first experience dining at Jae's and we will look forward to going again.

Outstanding food. Service can be hit or miss, but I can live with that. The ambiance is surprisingly casual, given the location. I've been coming here since their former location. The food is not your typical Chinese "fast food". It is more of a gourmet experience. If you haven't tried it, you should!

Great food, fast service! I Did not eat in, rather I stayed at the Hilton garden in and ordered it to my room. I had the beet salad and the drunken noodles on 2 separate occasions, both delicious, both times. Looking into the restaurant, it looks nice and I'll probably dine in next time.

I had two recent meals at Jae's, after a very lovely meal last year when I stayed at the same hotel. My thoughts: 1. Dine-in: the experience was lovely, and service was excellent. The highlight of my experience was the Shanghai Duck, which is a must-try for anyone coming to this restaurant. The combination of flavorful duck meat, of which the portion is substantial, crisp veggies, and an amazing sauce on their excellent rice is something I keep coming back to. We had a variety of appetizers and drinks and the whole family found something they liked. 2. Take-out: we had two orders of the Sushi Deluxe (nigiri sushi) and it did not disappoint. The fish is quite good, as fresh as one would expect from a decent restaurant. However, where Jae's absolutely SHINES is the quality of their sushi rice. THIS is how sushi rice is supposed to be done--the vinegar perfectly balancing the texture and stickiness, and served just ever-so-slightly warm and not ice cold! This has been one of my most satisfying sushi experiences outside of NYC and Boston. I have only one single complaint: the "kids sushi" meal for $11 or whatever is poorly conceived (and overpriced). It comes with six small pieces of avocado maki, a giant salad with ranch (??), and a cup of fruit. I just ended up eating it along with my meal, because there was nothing here any of my kids really would enjoy. I'd highly recommend that Jae's update this to replace the avocado maki and salad with a basic california roll and maybe two pieces of tamago (egg) nigiri sushi. The salad is just not what anyone order a "kids" meal is expecting to get!
