We tried this place a few weeks ago, and found the ice cream to be the best north of SoCo. Long wait because the couple ahead of us engaged the server in a lengthy non-ice cream related conversation before finally placing an order. I removed a star from my review because we drove across town for ice cream last night after dinner, and rhe place was locked up and blacked out 45 minutes before the posted closing time ... ?

Absolutely hands down the best ice cream in the area. Great service, high quality flavors (local farm supplied) and awesome portion size. Worth every penny, will be back again and again no question.

I stopped by this evening while I was working, and I'm glad I did. This is the best ice cream shop in this entire area. They have the best, creamiest, sweetest ice cream you've ever had! I got a Lg. Black Raspberry on sugar cone. It was excellent, really big, and a great value. The staff is very nice and polite. If you have not been to Lakewood Creamery yet, what are you waiting for? Treat yourself to the finest, you will be very pleased.
