The best blueberry pancakes around! Tasty food, amazing low prices and the friendliest staff. The restaurant is 70 years old and they haven’t updated much with the interior but that’s why it’s so charming. If you need frills, this isn’t the place for you. For everyone else… run here. It is cash only!
If you want a truly satisfying home cooked breakfast go to the Soda Chef on North Street in Pittsfield. It may not look like much from the outside, but this is an authentically retro old school diner with bar stools at the counter and also a few tables available for sitting at. All of the food is freshly prepared to order by George. The eggs were amazingly fresh and so tasty! Their home fries can be made with or without onions, as you prefer, and I opted for the onions. We had breakfast here. It was fast and very good. The waitress was exceptional, very friendly. I will eat here again. It is basic breakfast fare, well worn booths and cash only- very reasonable prices. A great place.
