Nice Italian. Charming space. Delicious antipasti (bresola) and scrumptious pasta and main courses. Negroni and Aperol Spritz were perfect too.

We drive up from Westchester County, New York just to eat here. Authentic, fresh Italian food in a laid back setting. Has been a staple for well over a

I have been many times and this is truly a remarkable and authentic Italian restaurant. The quality of ingredients never disappoints and the service is second to none. If I am not mistaken, the owner and staff go to Italy to select the wine. Highly recommended for couples, families or solo guests.

I go to Italian restaurants pretty often, so know what to compare to. The food served to us today was plain horrible. “Pork tenderloin” is a piece of dry overcooked meat that I could buy in a deli around the corner for $7. Everything else is no better. I honestly could cook it better myself and I don’t cook at all. Love one of the comments here saying it must be a prank or something. Pretty accurate. We didn’t say anything cause the waitress was very nice, but we didn’t eat even a half. The place itself looks nice but please hire anyone who can actually cook, cause this was a joke.

Terrible restaurant! Low quality food! They have made one tomato sauce and they put in each dish. Do not waste your money and time.

The bread was wonderful and filling to ravioli but rest of meal lacked flavor. For what you are paying for, please add seasoning. Ravioli filling wonderful, pasta was chewy and the sauce was whole cloves of garlic, so much oil and like the chef open a can of diced tomatoes - cooked quick. The oil was so hot, it burned your mouth as eating ravioli. Had to ask for salt to flavor. The oil ran down my silverware. This wasn't the Christmas date meal I wanted with my husband. His eggplant landed like lead. Please don't put down good money for this. The caprese was a hunk of homemade tasteless mozzarella over unripened tomato with basil leaves and olive oil. We asked for pepper but that didn't help. Wait staff wonderful!Ps- don't go on a chilly night. The door opens and the heat goes.

Classically delicious food. Very warm atmosphere with gracious, attentive service. Well made cocktails. The house chianti is perfect accompaniment to our dishes. Look no further for fine Italian dishes.

Very charming looking , legit Italian restaurant in back of the Main Street in Pittsfield. The food was somewhat disappointing… kind of bland and quite expensive. Probably would not go back but the service was very good.

Bones in my salmon! One I can get past but by 4, I gave up. If our server had checked in earlier, I would have gotten a new order but we felt ignored. The salmon was delicious however!

Had a truly weird dining experience here. When we walked in, we were greeted by the sight of a bar where a couple people were seated.

We asked if we could sit at the bar for a couple drinks before we were seated, and the hostess replied that customers aren't allowed to sit at the bar- only employees are. This was so bizarre. If you don't want customers at the bar (first off, why even have a bar then?), then you shouldn't allow employees to sit there during business hours.

When we eventually were seated at a table, it only got weirder. We were almost immediately pressured for an order. Mind you, the restaurant was not at all packed and did not get busy the entire time we were there. We requested to have a couple drinks before we ordered food, which the waiter reluctantly accepted.

When our drinks finally arrived, we were again pressured for an order. We asked to order an appetizer while we figured out or entrees and enjoyed our drinks. Nope, we were told the kitchen has a rule that they won't accept an appetizer order- they demand the entire order at once.

Another bizarre rule. At a high end establishment, I expect to be able to take my time with a meal. They shouldn't be trying to churn tables at the prices you pay here.

So we order our appetizer AND our food. A few minutes later the waiter comes back and informs us that they are out of what my partner had ordered. Okay, it happens. She chooses something else.

A mere few minutes later, her plate comes out. Not our appetizer, and not my meal, but just her meal. ?!? This is why we wanted to order the appetizer first in the first place! We reminded the waiter of our appetizer, and he took back the plate. Finally the app arrived, and naturally, after only another minute or two the rest of our meal was brought out.

All of this would have been a bad enough experience had the food been great, but it wasn't. The caprese salad was made with poor tomatoes and the pork tenderloin I ordered was dry and flavorless. The only thing that was okay was my partner's gnocchi.

This place needs to step up customer service by 1000 percent, stop setting bizarre rules, stop trying to get people in and out like this is McDonald's while charging Ritz prices, and reexamine the menu.

I really liked the food here. Very authentic and well prepared. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the food. Unfortunately, the service was not very good. The waitress was not too knowledgeable and seemed to forget to pay attention to us. I would normally decrease my rating more for this level of service but with the difficulty of getting staff I am only dropping a star. I certainly will give them another chance when I am in the area again.

Was so excited to try this place based on the reviews. Visiting from out of town. Walked a mile to get there and the venue was lovely. We were so excited and impressed by the authentic decor. We requested outdoor seating and got it!! The waitor came to our table and rattled off the specials. He said them so fast, it was hard to understand. We asked him to repeat some of the options and he did. We ordered a pomegranate martini and a Michelob ultra. After a while, the waiter came back and said he couldn't serve us alcohol because he thought that we seemed to have been drinking. We assured him that we hadn't been, but honestly, I was completely offended by his accusations, so we left. I did tell him that I was insulted and he didn't seem to care at all. We went to a Mexican restaurant near by and had a great meal and drinks for the same price as one pasta dinner at their restaurant. Everything happens for a reason.well never go there again.
