Chicken Fried rice is delicious! Sad to see the place empty for dinner. Highly recommend this place!

This is the best local Thai/Vietnamese spot around - but you need to know what to order! Don’t make the pad Thai your first dish. There are a few hidden gems that take exploring the menu. We ordered 30 minutes before Vong’s was closing - the lady on the phone was so kind and sweet. I recommend highly their Beef Pho, Tom Yum, Angel wings (no sauce) and Crab Rangoon. We got our Angel wings plain with the sauce on the side. Oh my gosh they were perfectly fried! The way the skin crunched when you bite in. . . I don’t know if the coating was made from tempora or flour batter, but it was so delicious. The wings were also very large pieces. I would split this appetizer with someone else. The Tom Yum is an elegant blend of sour and hint of spice. They added a nice dash of fresh vegetables, mushrooms, scallions and parsley - keeping the meat and broth the main ingredients. My partner said there was a bit of a bite to it, but they never eat spicey food ( I don’t think it’s spicey at all just delicious.) I can be picky about Thai soups and I will sincerely say, this soup is the real deal. This is how a Tom Yum is supposed to taste! It may not be spicey, but that’s not all Asian food is known for. They are also celebrated for the rich flavors and spices outside of its heat. The Beef Pho was tasty and well packaged. We ordered everything take out and the Pho soup base was still piping hot in its container. The noodles were soft, I could tell they were just boiled and put fresh the container. Lots of beef! This one is for the Foodies, lastly we ordered the Crab Rangoons. This appetizer surprised us! we were expecting a sweet cream cheese filling with crab meat in the mix. These ones had a savory and sweet Thai CURRY with cream cheese filling. They are an original and unique experience. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the menu has to offer.

Vong’s is excellent. The quality of food makes me so happy, I’m sitting here frustrated that I didn’t eat here today. It’s so good.Yes, it’s true they don’t have waitstaff right now since labor shortage post Covid, this might have changed by the time you’re reading this review. I actually found this charming. It’s basically take-out with a sitting area. I didn’t mind at all. Everyone I met was very kind and helpful and the food absolutely worth it.I will return. Probably often.

The food wasn't the best but it is pretty there. the summer rolls are beautiful and the sauce was delicious. I asked for shrimp but they put fake crab meat instead. The Pad Thai was okay, it was made with too much oil and the noodles were soaked in it.

By far the best Thai food around. Restaurant is still take-out only, but you are able to order and eat there. Staff is very friendly. Would highly recommend the curries.

I am so grateful for Vongs! It is located across the street from Berkshire Medical Center...and I learned tonight it is a place for comfort food for many connected to the hospital. I had spent most of the day at the hospital with a family member and was in need of dinner and was craving the comfort of a big hot steaming bowl of Pho (noodle soup). I also couldn't resist ordering the summer rolls. The place is no frills. The food is very good and the service is friendly. There is a small bar with maybe 10-12 seats. They have staff shortages like many places so they are doing counter service....order at the counter, and you can either take it out or eat it in. They have about 10 tables for eating in. I sat at the bar since I was by myself. The service is so friendly, and very accommodating. The tv at the bar was on a very annoying show so I asked if if could change the channel and they were more than happy to allow me to choose whatever I wanted. The beef pho was exactly how you would expect it...served with sliced jalapeños, fresh bean sprouts, lime wedges, a side of hoisin and a side of sirractcha and lots of fresh herbs. The broth was so rich and flavorful, and the rice noodles were long and just the right amount. The beef was sliced thin, and cut into smallish pieces which made them easier to eat. The summer rolls were fresh with crunchy veggies and fresh shrimp on the inside and soft rice wrapper on the outside. I still had my hospital visitor tag on, and I noticed two other people in the place also had hospital visitor tags on, and the guy next to me at the bar was a physician who had just got off work, and while I ate I noticed several people in hospital workwear picking up take out. Thank you Vong's for being open on a Sunday night and serving delicious comfort food to the many people connected to the hospital in one way or another.
