“On a recent visit to family in Foxboro I was taken to Fitzy's for a very enjoyable dinner. The pub has the feel of a family restaurant with the bar in a separate area. The food is quite good considering the variety of offerings. I thoroughly enjoyed one of the evening's specials, salmon Hawaiian, a fillet served with a pineapple salsa. The salsa had just the right bite of jalapeno. It wasn't a problem for them to substitute a baked potato for the advertised rice and the mixed veggies were perfectly crisp/tender. Others in the party enjoyed the Portuguese steak, a large sirloin served with a fried egg over fries and rice; a ginormous Southwest salad featuring fresh greens and grilled chicken; and veal parmigiana served with a side of pasta. We indulged in shared desserts of decadent lava cake served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, and comfort food Grapenut pudding also served with whipped cream. 2 in the party enjoyed beer and wine and 2 had soft drinks. The bill was reasonable (around $150 including 3 beers and 2 large wines, appetizer of arancini, and the 2 desserts). Definitely worth a visit!“

“This place is awesome! Such a beautiful part of history preserved. Rhode Island is such a beautiful time capsule. I love driving around looking at the old houses and buildings. Back home in AZ, Diners like this are a part of car culture. Classic Route 66 vibes. Traveling sales men and or families on the road. This Diner captures the true roots of diners like these. Diners like this were a big part of America's working class history on the east coast. These were places where people could grab food 24/hrs a day because the local workforce needed a place to eat, grab some coffee and maybe relax before or after a 8day of work. We stopped by early Sunday morning before our trip home. There were only two other customers there. Both eating alone. It was like a scene in a movie. It was beautiful in a lonely way. I'm sure this place gets packed and loud. I feel blessed to have seen it with the quite lonely vibe. It was like going back in time to see a diner stay open to make sure those two people had some warm food or coffee available to them. The staff knew them by name. This place is a gem that I hope stays alive and preserved for many more generations. Beautiful! BTW: The food and service are good too.“

“A couple of Fridays ago, on the morning of the Friends of Saint Patrick’s event, I had breakfast with a couple of friends in Walpole. The breakfast skillet I ordered was amazing—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. I can't wait to go back. The service was fantastic, making the whole experience even better.“

“First time patron. Short staffed but you wouldn’t know it. Staff we’re all exceptionally attentive. Food was excellent and the prices were less than those of the larger places. Recommend you give it a try!“
