This place was beautiful! Obsessed with the decor and ambiance. Live music on a Sunday brunch! The brunch drinks were 10/10 and a top tier Bloody Mary! The food was fresh and delicious. We went with a large group and everything came out together. Every dish looked better than the next! The French toast with berries was amazing! Brioche bread! The owner greeted each table and was wonderful. This will be a go to anytime we are in the area!

Exceptional experience! Food was delicious! Carmelized scallops, vegetable risotto, broiled cod and vegetables were fantastic. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Warm vibe topped off our first visit. Will be back soon! Highly recommend!

Tried to go. Says they close at 11. Pulled in at 840 and a guy ran and locked the door as we walked up to it and then stared at us from the window. Still plenty of people inside. He could have told us they were closing early rather than just locking the door on us, would have been the polite thing to do. Heard about the bad service but wanted to try it. Unfortunately they lived up to their reputation. Too bad.
They DO NOT close at 11 on Sundays. We came here before 9 and it was already closed
Nice place, larger than it appears from outside. Nice bar, classy dining areas, great food, great service.

1 star for nice servers, and 1 for atmosphere but the food is terrible. Their “Artisnal” cheese plate is something you’d buy in a box from the grocery store, don’t waste $21 on it. Mediocre salad and rubbery Jamaican chicken. Luckily we could send back the chicken for a burger, but the patty seemed premade. Nothing fresh or memorable about this place or their Tavern next door.

Our first visit was on a Friday night, staff was excellent, pleasant, and very accommodating!
As we entered, we were promptly greeted and seated right away. The Inside looked very nice and inviting, but we had chosen to sit at the patio.
The patio had potted flowers, and umbrellas at the tables for a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
The drink menu had some really interesting and unique cocktails that were wonderfully surprising.
The entre menu offered a wide selection, with descriptions that made our choices challenging but rewarding.
The cherry on top was that the pricing was not outrageous in the least, and for the quality of the nicely prepared food and our overall experience, was a welcomed bonus.
Our experience at the Black Lantern Tavern was superb, and the depth of their dinner and cocktail menus beckon us to return to explore what is sure to be another terrific experience!

Maybe don't take my word for it as I tend to be very critical but to me this place seemed pretty average. The service was 4 stars as it didn't seem like anything special. The atmosphere was cool as there was live music but for a sit down restaurant in a small place it was a little loud and hard to have conversations with the people around you.
As for food, I say three stars cause I wasn't really impressed. I got the fish and chips which was a single fillet that seemed to be majority batter and not much fish. It was on a bed of fries which was probably about a cups worth. It also came with a few spoons full of coleslaw. I don't know if it was if I was just really hungry, but at the end I didn't feel satisfied with the portions. I then tried some of my dad's steak tips that were ordered medium rare. They had a nice char on them which was nice but this kind of made them a little tough. I definitely wouldn't call them tender.
Finally the drinks. First we were welcomed to waters but none of us could drink it as it just tasted awful. I don't know if something is wrong with the tap water, or if it was the glasses that went through the dishwasher, but it tasted almost moldy, if that's somehow possible. As I didn't find that drinkable, I ended up ordering a soda. This was great until I see that the glasses they use are what I would think to be 1/2 pint glasses from the bar that they fill with ice. This resulted in my frequently needing refills and was a little annoying having to wait.

I had the teriyaki steak tips which were delicious. Definitely good cuts of meat. Restaurant is very well run. Joe was the bartender and he made sure that everyone was happy.

Since we only live 5 minutes away , we finally decided to try this tavern out. We ordered simple appetizer of lobster ragoons and crispy chicken sandwich with fries. We didnt go overboard because its so hot outside with little appetite.
