The food and the drinks were amazing! So far was the best chicken parmesan that I’ve ever had!! The waiter was very friendly and helpful suggesting drinks. I recommend this place 1000% and of course I’ll be back!

The Cafe Strega is excellent. Ashley the manager is the best. The food is top notch. The veal parm was thin, tender able to cut it w a fork. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive !!

This place is does not serve authentic Italian. In fact, it’s some of the worst food I’ve paid for.
The “Rigatoni Bolognese” was hunks of carrot, dried beef, and over cooked pasta coated in an orange mystery sludge. Truly, disgusting.
I would have sent it back, but I had already waited a half an hour for it, and the server, although very pleasant, was largely absent.
Please understand- there is no cream in Carbonara, nor is Canadian bacon a substitute for guanciale.
But, perhaps most un-Italian thing about this place is that they ran out of bread.
Two stars, for the patio and the wine.

Fantastic! North end of Boston style restaurant featuring Italian fare.. Walking in the entrance is the kitchen which I knew we would enjoy from the food being plated. We both had the chicken parm with angel hair pasta which was perfect. Homemade bread is served with oil, cheese and balsamic to start off.

We decided to try Cafe Strega after reading online reviews, plus it was very close to our hotel. We made a reservation & arrived early, but the hostess assured us that was fine. We had nice views from our table. My husband had the Penne Alla Boscaiola & I had the Penne Alla Siciliana. Both were very flavorful & hot. My husband had a special cocktail & I had Chardonnay. Mollie was our server & she was very attentive & efficient. No dessert, but my husband raved about his cup of Decaf. We would gladly come again on our next getaway to Plymouth.
Spent the entire meal listening to other tables complain about the service and food, and I can see why. Brutally understaffed wait staff and poorly trained kitchen staff pushing out incorrectly made dishes. Our server did her best under the circumstances though, not her fault.

I think Deb changed my life last night. Her ability to do 10 things at once and keeping her cool was impressive. I haven't had that good of bar welcoming in a long time. 1000% recommend see her on Wednesday nights. We only went in for a drink at 6.. stayed till 10! Thank you, Deb Also.. great jokes!!

We visited for the 2nd time last week and we enjoyed it as much as the 1st. We sat at the cozy bar so service was terrific. We had the chicken saltimbocca which was delicious. Had the chicken parm previously and was also great. The bartender warned us that it is a scratch kitchen but the restaurant wasn't too busy so food came out in a reasonable amount of time. May be a consideration if visiting on the weekends. I highly recommend.
