Three of us ordered the driest over cooked pork chops, fried (red bliss) potatoes and NO SAUCE of any kind. I happen to like catchup with my fried chops but Ooh La La they didn’t have any so I trotted over to the 7/11 to get some. it took a solid 10+minutes for table bread to arrive. $600 for meals and drinks. I’ve been goingt to this restaurant for a long time but I’m not sure I’ll go back. As they say…. Your as only as good as your last meal. Lousy experience! I still can’t believe the OVER COOKED CHOPS!

We had a reservation for 7:00 PM but weren’t seated until 7:30 PM. After finally ordering at 7:50 PM, we waited a full hour for our food, even though the restaurant was practically empty by then. I ordered the carbonara, but instead of pancetta, it came with thinly sliced bacon and an overwhelming amount of white onions. It didn’t taste like carbonara at all, which was a huge letdown after the long wait. Everyone else’s dishes were disappointing too. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Super yummy Italian dinner! We were here pretty early, so we were the only people sitting out on their patio overlooking a park. The food was delicious, especially the spaghetti with seafood. The red sauce on the pastas was very good and tasted like a fresh, homemade sauce. We also loved our desserts- tiramisu, lemon almond tart, and orange gelato!

Fabulous Italian food! It took about an hour to get our food, with a reservation, but it was well worth the wait. We had Carbonara, Lobster Ravioli and Veal Bracioletina. shrimp cocktail for a starter and dark chocolate cake to finish with coffee. So good!

Just the Best Italian restaurant in Plymouth. We have to double order their takeout pizzas ? to avoid having to go back for more. Truly a hidden gem . . . So Don't Tell. ;-)

My lobster ravioli was excellent. My guest had very specific dietary requests and they were able to accommodate them.

My pasta was way undercookedThe chicken was dry and probably previously frozen….(chicken Parmesan)$28.00……My girlfriend had a dish called caparelliRapiene.. basically a pasta stuffed with cheese spinach and prosciutto$28.00…She was relatively satisfied with her meal.I made a complaint to the waitress and she came back with another serving of pasta that was just on the edge of not being cooked it was definitely al dente …The waitress was super nice and offered a free dessert, we declined because I did not want to look like that person looking for something for free. The restaurant has a nice view, but the food is Way over priced for the quality !!!!That dish for the air quality should have been about $9.95, not going back. They need to pay attention to what’s going out of the kitchen.

Cannot comment on food atmosphere or service because we received none of those things. We decided to dine at Strega last night because it had been a while since we had eaten there and we were in the mood for some good Italian. When we dine out we always sit at the bar. Knowing how busy it gets in there and how small the bar is we arrived at 4:27p.m. We entered and the bar was completely full, (both sides), and people were already served drinks. I was a bit confused because hours posted on line and on the door state they open at 4:30. I checked their clock on the wall it said 4:27 and asked the hostess if the opened at 4:30. She confirmed they did, I commented that I was confused if they opened at 4:30 how could the bar be completely full at 4:27? She shrugged and offered us a seat in the alcove. I declined because just like the other reviewer sitting in the alcove next to the wait station and computer is not enjoyable. We were Very disappointed to discover that it seems they open at 4:30 to the general public but must have different hours for the 10plus people that clearly arrived before that (they were already served drink!!!) So I guess if you want a bar seat at Strega you better be there at 4pm and maybe need the double secret password to get in the door!

I am very saddened by the experience my boyfriend and I had at Cafe Strega this past Saturday. I have been going to Cafe Strega since I was a child and have had many special occasions and date nights here. Saturday night was a special day for my boyfriend and I, and he had booked a reservation for us a week prior. The staff were completely overwhelmed. We waited 30 minutes for our table just to be asked if we would be ok sitting at the counter in the service hallway. We spent another 25 minutes waiting for one drink listening to the stressed shouts and aggravated swearing of the wait staff yelling back and forth to each other in the service hallway. I was sat an inch away from the server's computer. We ended up paying for the drinks and left. No apologies from the staff. Could have at least comped the 30$ worth of cocktails that they had initially forgotten to put in. I am wary to go back after truly loving this restaurant for years. The hostess told us this was typical for a weekend night, reservation or not. This restaurant is not cheap, and it did not feel worth it to spend money and sit in a stressful service hallway for dinner. I hope they are able to solve this problem in the future, as the food is truly 5-star.

This is our second time dining at Cafe Strega and both times were superb. Its the North End in Plymouth. I absolutely love their red sauce! Last night we went to celebrate my birthday. There were 4 of us and we were all loving our plates! I had the chicken parm. Large plate. The chicken is ao tender and not overdone! The cheese is incredible. They use the best ingredients and it shows. We also had Penne alla siciliana (eggplant), Spaghetti al Fruiti Di Mare (shrimp only) and Pollo Saltimbocca. Everyone raved! Also, we were seated by the window in the glassed room.Thank you!

First time (last year) I brought out of town friends here - should have left a review then but I figured the undercooked salmon was a one off.Tried to go there again - only because we have a gift card, we were so turned off the first time - and we were turned away before 5PM because there are just reservations. This is despite at least two spread out seats at the bar. The lady up front had a bad attitude and offered an alternate seating area once she saw us leave.Strike 2. I REALLY wish the gift card was elsewhere. Maybe I’ll sell it to a friend.
