We became seasonal last year after being just a weekender before that. Ellis Haven has worked hard to make improvements and it shows. The pond is great and clean (though could use bathrooms) and we feel safe. Our kids are growing up the way they should be - riding bikes, fishing, playing with friends and getting dirty. Seasonal campers are pretty great. Transient experiences are as good as the campers that come each Weeknd but Ellis Haven has worked hard to weed out the bad seeds.

I went here maybe almost ten years ago at this point. Wow I feel old. Anyways, my boyfriend at the time had a friend who had a campsite at Ellis and we would walk up to this bar at night. It was so much fun! Just felt like a big party from what I can recall. It’s definetly already somewhat a leisure having a bar at a campsite so don’t expect it to be the Shangri-La or to have top notch service. These bartenders are working hard and many people spend summers here. The bartenders work hard to try to fulfill everyone’s needs even when they’re in the weeds.

This campground is the epitome of a lower quality , anything goes campground. Little if any oversight on rules and regulations. Kids running rampant with no adult supervision. As I sat at my campsite. 4 - 10 year olds or so threw rocks at a trailer that seemed to be unoccupied. Loud noise way after midnight from drunken people . It is definitely gone way down hill from years ago. Either that or people have gone downhill - brings back the “trailer trash “saying for sure . I would never ever stay there again .

If there was ever a campground that needs an escort to get you to your site, this would be it. Its HUGE and has more twists, turns, ups, and downs than a cheesy 2nd rate bookstore paperback mystery . You could literally ride around half a day trying to find your location. Well we finally did, only to get hooked up in an extremely tight site. Our slide was within 1/2 inch from our neighbor's awning only to find that out sewer was clogged so we hooked up to the unoccupied one behind us. I called the office to see if they'd check it out, or if we needed to move, OR if they wouldn't rent out that space. Of course I only got the answering machine so I left a message never receiving a response. We were paying for FULL hookups. Called the next morning and talked to Susan who finally sent out someone later that afternoon because they had someone coming in to fill that space. We went on our merry way after maintenance assured us he'd snake it out. We got home late, our hose was in the hole just like it should be, the space behind us filled, we go to bed thinking everything is fine. They never called or left a notice that the situation was not rectified. We stayed two more nights and when getting ready to leave this morning, good thing we didn't start pumping the black water out 'cause what a mess it would have made - for them and us! Called Susan again and advised her not to rent out site out again until they made the repair - of course no mention was made on their part to refund a dollar or two of what we'd paid for FULL hookup. Instead we had to drive over to the mudhole that housed the dump station, getting our unit filthy with all the mud we had to track in between the two of us in and out. Very disappointed in the price we paid and the service we got. The roads are horrible especially with a big unit and a dinghy - so many mudholes and speed bumps - very uncomfortable to maneuver in and out. Just me, but I'd look elsewhere.

We have been camping at this campground for 15 years now and it has been amazing!! There is a huge park for kids! A mini golf course a ton of activities for kids, like arts and crafts and pumpkin patches. Amazing huge pond to swim in! Ponds to fish! And an amazing size dog park. relaxing fun trails to hike and walk through. We are a seasonal and it has been amazing! Campys pizza is so good. The staff are amazing, and patrol the whole campground. It is a great place to stay, have fun, hike, hang out with friends, and relax! My best times of my life were I. That campground! It is an amazing place to get your energy out! 10 out of 10!
The main bartender is rude and too busy socializing than helping customers with their drink orders. When she finally comes around to take your order she rolls her eyes and seems inconvenienced. This was while she had 3 customers including myself. This was also during the several different times I've visited. This was not just a bad day but a regular bad attitude.
