As we drive south on route 3 our car steering wheel always turns to the right on Samoset Street, taking us to the waterfront and Peaceful Meadows. We've been going there since 1986 when my parents raved about it. My favorite flavor only comes one month a year, but I have a great backup.
There were no long lines like predicted and we barely got acknowledged when we went in. I was so annoyed I walked out but the rest of my family waited for the staff to decide to help them. It took 15-20 minutes for my family to get their ice-cream orders, being the only ones in the place. The prices were a little steep but not crazy. The ice-cream itself was alright (I tried everybody else’s) but I have had much better. The rest of my family agrees as well…it was good but...
They have great ice cream and frappes. I wish they had dairy free options for people who are lactose intolerant. Staff could be more friendly but all in all a great little ice cream shoppe
