My daughter and I enjoyed our afternoon tea experience. The scones and jellies are delicious! Cannot wait to return.

Shelly’s tea room is an absolute must visit. Whether you’re looking for a quiet date by yourself or if you want to spend a day with a group you and your loved ones will have a delightful relaxing evening.

Shelly’s offer a variety of treats that can easily accommodate a number of diets (including gluten free ) making it not only a great experience but a fantastic choice for many.

Not only do you have a positive experience in the means of dining but the owners and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Buddy perhaps being the best host you’ll ever come to know and will ensure your satisfaction while you drink one of the many delicious teas.

My most recent experience I had called ahead looking for a reservation for the next day. I only had a small window due to my schedule and The owner actually went out of her way to sneak me in without me asking. Unbeknownst to her it was for my birthday and so I thanked her for it stating how she made my birthday that much more special. Not only did they go out of their way to fit me in - the day I came in she surprised me with a chocolate sponge cake and a candle. I was blown away.

It’s evident that the staff and owners care greatly and with that their warmth, hospitality and professionalism exudes throughout the quaint shop creating a comfortable homey atmosphere.

Went to afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and was so impressed with the entire experience! I was not sure at all what to expect, but it was perfect. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I wish I could give more than five stars 🌟!
Shelly's Tea Rooms 🍵 are absolutely fabulous! The moment you walk in, you feel like you have been transported directly to London!🇬🇧 There is a tea for everyone and every occasion. Her gift shop is absolutely amazing, she has so many different treats, gifts, and snacks to go! I think it's a great place that has delicious food and tea's. It's such an authentic tea room. The family works together, makes everything from scratch and are such lovely people. I travel down from Johnston, RI, it's absolutely worth the drive. It's my new monthly routine! 💖
I've been three times so far and everything keeps getting better and better! You should definitely stop in, book a reservation, or plan a day trip to Shelly's Tea Room 🍵 ♥️
I think you would love it and its a great small family business!💕

Lovely tea room. They have a senior golden retriever that relaxes in the area, so sweet.

Finally had a chance to stop in today. Our group of 5 had a 12pm reservation. We were a little early and that was no problem. Everything we tried was so good! A big fave was the chocolate chip scone!! We had lots of questions about teas and different things and never felt "silly" for not knowing what something was. Shelly was friendly and delightful! Took some cakes to go because we were so full from everything we ate. We will definitely be back! Great little place!

I came for afternoon tea with my teenaged daughter and son. We loved it! Each pot of tea was just right and the food was delicious. We tried all 4 varieties of finger sandwich on the first round, and then had seconds of the ones we chose. The scones were the best we have ever had, and made even better layered with butter, jam, and clotted cream. We weren’t even sure if we had room for the desserts, but we tasted each and they were all equally scrumptious, we couldn’t pick a favorite. All this in a relaxing, laid back atmosphere where we had time to enjoy our tea and talk. We will definitely be back.

Had the Windsor Tea a couple of weeks ago. I did enjoy the fact that this was a very leisurely afternoon and there was a large tea selection, however, the wait time to be served any food was far too excessive. The owner was the only server and she was clearing tables, also. I'm not sure if this is typical, perhaps there was a staff shortage. I called to request a window table and was told they could accommodate me at 1:10. We arrived at 1:05 and the restaurant was full. We weren't seated until 1:45, and not at the window. Our food was not served until 2:45.
We were served a marmalade scone of the day and a plain scone. They were good but, we weren't told that we had a choice. The server was very nice and offered one to take home. The clotted cream was particularly good.
The finger sandwiches were disappointing. I realize that there is very little filling typically, but these had virtually nothing in them. The best dessert on the plate was the Bakewell Tart. The Victoria Sponge had a thick overly sweet buttercream in it, not freshly whipped cream, which we did not care for. Never had a Victoria Sponge without cream.
Perhaps if was an off day.

My friend and I had The Windsor afternoon tea here yesterday. It was absolutely fantastic, the scones were amazing and all the items delicious. We will definitely be back!
I should mention that we are both British so have had quite a few afternoon teas between us. We rate Shelly’s a top tier tea shop.

First time visit, came for my birthday with my family it was great. Booked weekday so the atmosphere was very relaxing, cozy and not that busy when we arrived. The owner is so friendly and kind. She did it all from taking orders to preparing food it was impressive. We got Windsor Afternoon Tea sets that came with a starter mulled wine tea, different pot of tea for each of us, finger sandwiches, fresh scones with spreads and a few petite desserts. Kids under 10yrs can get a Princess Tea which is a half-sized version, plenty of caffeine free teas to choose from -fyi a sweeten iced fruit tea tastes like juice for picky littles. The Windsor Afternoon tea is just over $40/pp however for a special occasion it’s worth it. They serve fresh quality tea and food. All of our teas were absolutely delicious, the assorted finger sandwiches were delicious as well (we actually got two rounds which was unexpectedly nice!), the scones were fresh out of the oven & so tasty! Loved the fresh clotted cream and strawberry preserves for the scones. The petite desserts were good but my least favorite part of the set. Overall we had a great time at Shelly’s Tea Room. I will definitely come back with friends or another “tea party” with the little. Thank you so much Shelly’s for a wonderful experience!
