Oooh the chowder fries are so good!! The view is amazing, you can actually see the Plymouth rock from the balcony.

The owners & staff at Surfside Smokehouse created a special evening for our son & his fiance at their rehearsal dinner. Both families were united in a beautiful setting overlooking Plymouth Harbor. We received attentive, friendly, and on-schedule service, delicious food and perfect ambiance.Thank you so much!Robin & Ed Flynn

We got there and were seated right away. The staff were friendly and answered all our questions without hesitation. The food came out quickly, hot, and was absolutely delicious.

We had our rehearsal dinner here the night before our wedding. Their private room is absolutely gorgeous! The only spot in Plymouth on the water with a private wrap around deck and bar. The food on the function menu was a little subpar - would have liked more barbecue options since that’s what they specialize in (the menu was a bit bland), but other than that it was a great experience and would definitely recommend.

One of our favorite places to go in Plymouth, a beautiful setting right on the water and friendly bartenders. We mostly sit at the bar. They even have a vegetarian Power Bowl: A grain blend, asparagus, cauliflower, peppers & onions, garlic, corn, avocado, feta. Delicious and can be made vegan without the feta! Also during the summer raw oysters for a dollar 3-5pm.

Our server was nice and staff was friendly. The ambience was nice with a beautiful view on the water, with a gorgeous view of the boats. The drinks were good. Food was ok with very generous portions. There was a problem with one of the entrees, where the burger was rare and the manager offered something else and made good. The food was good but nothing stood out as spectacular. Clam chowder was good. Nice view and friendly staff!

No where else can you get quality BBQ and phenomenal drinks while sitting along the ocean. Any negative reviews don’t appreciate the scarcity in that. Service has always been exemplary. Patronage this incredible establishment with

Wasn’t to impressed; the service was okay and the food was ok. Lobster in the roll was tough and chewy. Wings were okay had a nice dry rub but was a little over cooked.

Go for the view, the drinks, and the seafood, but definitely not the BBQ. The brisket and pork are mostly a pile of gelatinous fat. Despite the bad BBQ experience our first time, we've been here a few additional times because we enjoy the atmosphere and have tried several other dishes while staying away from the BBQ choices. The chowder and coconut shrimp are good, as are the other seafood choices we've had. Service has always been good. They have live music Thursdays thru Sundays. Free parking is available and they have an overflow lot with free parking a short distance up the street when the marina is busy during the summer months.

Went there for dinner on a Saturday at 5 PM with a party of 5. Issues with food and availability of menu items. Ordered an app from the specials and was then told they were out of it. Ordered a meal off regular dinner menu and was then told they were out of it. Ordered the surf and turf off regular dinner menu. Surf and turf as listed was a lobster tail with 6 oz Waygu sirloin. When the dish was brought to us, it was a lobster tail with 2 steak tips, which were not cooked the way we would have preferred. When we asked our waitress about it having steak tips and not the Waygu sirloin, she said she forgot to tell us they were switching it to 2 steak tips. She had the manager come over who said they did switch it, and was sorry. They took $20 off, but we should have been given the opportunity to order something different. They should have been upfront before we ordered telling us all of the items they were out of. We found them to be very unprofessional in not disclosing that. Unfortunately, we had been there once prior, but we will not be going back there.

Fun place, beautiful view. Food is pretty decent though I admit to not having tried any “smokehouse” items. Crabcakes are yummy and they once had a fish bites type app that was delicious. The service is inconsistent. Sometimes really engaging, friendly and efficient & have had times when bar staff is just off. Not genial at all and not totally focused on customer needs. And this is not necessarily when it’s busy. That all being said, the areas for improvement won’t stop me from going back!

I took my parents here for the view of the marina, and because my dad enjoys seafood. I ordered a half rack of ribs and pork quesadillas. The food was horrendous. The ribs were super dry and hard to cut with a knife. The pork in the quesadillas was hard and tough to chew. Neither was edible. We asked to have the meals taken off and at first we were only given a $10 discount. We asked for a manager and we were told there was not a manager on site. Seemed odd but we still asked for the ribs and quesadillas to be taken off. They accommodated with the ribs but refused to take off the quesadillas. Their reasoning was that because other people had ordered it and it was a popular dish, there was nothing wrong with them. The waitress was rude and dismissed my feedback of the meat not being cooked is a wrong meal. First and last time visiting.

Stopped in there tonight for a cocktail with 4 friends. The bar was packed, most tables had a reserved sign on them. There were tables on the deck with no sign we wanted to sit, but we're told you have to order a full meal to sit at the tables. I asked how about if we order an appetizer for each person can we sit. No was the answer only full meals at the tables down around the bar. Well you can bet your ass I'll never go in there again. That location has been several places over the years and I'm sure it will be something else in the future. Bottom line don't bother.. if there was a - star that would be my review.

Location on the harbor is fantastic. Our server was super nice and attentive. My wife had the fish n chips which she enjoyed- it looked really good. I had the brisket and I regret it. It was under cooked, had no smoke ring, and was gray and dry. It was also cut too thick- especially for being undercooked. Very tough to eat with little flavor. Brisket is difficult to do well but it's not rocket science! I generally judge a barbecue restaurant by the quality of their brisket. I don't know how good their other barbecue items are but if this is an accurate representation of the quality I would avoid all of their barbecue items. Go for the seafood, cocktails, ambiance and view, not the barbecue.

Made a reservation for 5pm was never told there was a time limit on the the table. Was asked at 730pm to get up because they have another reservation while there is multiple other tables open. Ordered multiple appetizers, entrees, and drinks. Bill is well over 200$ hostess had an attitude. Spoke to the manager and she resolved the issue. Won’t be back
