Still the very best in town; crafted, caring, detailed and best wine list. Sit at the bar, grab a high-top or a table, it doesn’t matter - it’s perfect as always

We were delightfully surprised at the comfortable seating, the personal service and the delicious food. Everything about our dinner was perfect. We arrived at 5:00 and were seated without reservation. We were traveling a distance to spend time here gallery shopping and we decided to celebrate a birthday and made our choice when looking for an interesting menu.
The appetizers were really great. We had duck sliders on buttermilk biscuits (yum) and the Persian Lamb kabobs with zaatar.… so good! The green salad was very tasty and even better with the order of crusty baguette. You’ll love the fried olives with Manchego cheese, they were very flavorful. Thank you to the front and back of your lovely establishment. Great place .. We must return. ????

I am being generous with three stars. Previously, this was our favorite restaurant in Provincetown. We went there last night to find that the prices were outrageous for what you get and the menu is limited. Most entrées are $50 or above. We started with a soup and a salad, which were good. No bread offerings unless you purchase it as a separate appetizer. My husband‘s $36 burger was very good but they charge for the extras (Cheese and bacon) that are listed on the menu. I wanted to get the bouillabaisse but did not want muscles in it, and the waiter was emphatic that they could not leave out the muscles! Seriously, is that so hard? I ordered the falafel which came with two falafel balls, a very soggy cucumber, tomato salad, and a side of dipping sauce. The problem with it was that the dipping sauce was as thin as water. It was impossible for it to stick to either the pita bread or the two falafel balls. The option was to either do without or dip your food in a watery substance that basically ruined it. It should’ve never left the kitchen. So.. the soup, a salad, a burger and the falafel balls along with two drinks and a beer came to $150. $180 with gratuity. For $180 I expected a lot more. It seems to me that the menu limitations and the quality of the food has gone downhill.

Couldn’t accommodate 6 people. Gasping when we asked for table of six. To be fair we never ate there because the wait time was 2 hours.

Went to Joon bar three weeks ago and still thinking about the duck sliders I had. Service was as great as well!

Joon is such a quaint and charming environment. I’ve wanted to try it for years, and this was the year! The menu is incredibly small, so make sure there is something you want before booking it. There were two appetizer specials but not entrees. We split the incredible duck sliders everyone talks about (and are worth being discussed), and I got the bouillabaisse, which was quite delicious though scarce on amounts of seafood (2 mussels, one scallop halved in two, a small chunk of lobster, etc). The wine list is quite nice, and we skipped on dessert. The biggest complaint I have are the prices. The prices are astronomical for what you get and compared to others in town offering similar with more variety and/or better ambiance. At this price point I might consider the bar for a drink and some sliders or a burger, but I don’t know that I could justify $50+ an entree.

I had an exceptional experience at Joon Bar in Provincetown on August 29th, where the ambiance perfectly captured the essence of a modern American bistro. The cozy yet chic atmosphere made it an ideal spot for a relaxed yet refined evening. The drink menu stood out with its inventive cocktails and carefully curated wine list, offering something for every palate.

The food was a delightful blend of classic American flavors with a contemporary twist. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing fresh ingredients and a creative approach to familiar favorites. The presentation was as impressive as the taste, reflecting a true dedication to quality.

What really set Joon Bar apart was the service—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, which made the entire experience feel personal and special.

Joon Bar is a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique American bistro experience in Provincetown. It’s a place where great food, drinks, and atmosphere come together seamlessly. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I rarely write negative reviews but I have dined here several times and NEVER have I been so disappointed. Thee of us got the halibut entree. My fish was over cooked and dry, presented in 2 small pieces instead of one filet, the skin was extremely soggy, the pesto sauce was on the soggy skin which made it inaccessible without eating the skin. The tomato corn salad was watery, bland and had zero acid component and there were no haricot verts on our plate as stated in the description. I took 2 bites and was done. The waiter did not come to our table to ask how the food was and my full plate was taken at the end of the “meal” without any solicitation of my opinion of the dish or perhaps why I didn’t eat it. All that for $50. The chef should be ashamed to serve such a subpar plate of food and the servers should MINIMALLY be trained to ask how the food is. I’ve heard that the quality of the food has declined this year but I never expected to have such an atrocious experience. I’ll never go back.

Beautiful spot, some of the best food on the lower cape. They offer a nice short menu and do everything very well. Amazing for a seasonal restaurant, not sure how they do it. Great service, nice ambience. We’ve been going to Joon for the last few years and continue to enjoy it.

Cool place. We come every year until now. Had the duck last year and loved it. This year not so much. Ordered the olives appetizer which I had before it never came. When we asked they came out a few minutes later followed by our meal a minute later. We powered though the meal which was just ok and said we were done with this place. The quality of the food has declined. Better options.

This is a special place. The vibe was intimate and welcoming, albeit a busy Saturday night. Service may have seen a tad scattered (MWD weekend), but friendly and accommodating; we were understanding appreciative to have gotten a table.
We had oysters and bread to start, which were equally delicious. But the real star of the show was the steak. Pricey at $68 but worth every single bite. It was top notch, even for a strip. Perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned unlike any other steak that you would get at some random restaurant. Superb!!
We also ordered a spring salad, which was composed of fresh spring peas, fava beans and asparagus. Could’ve used a little touch of acid and salt, but just a beautiful salad overall!
Cocktails were also incredibly on point. The staff, including the hostess were all just lovely. Our visit to Joon was a memorable part of our weekend Getaway to Ptown

One of the easiest 5/5’s I’ve ever given. Staff was excellently attentive and charming; Wagyu dry-aged burger with the *SMOKEY KETCHUP* was absolutely brilliant. For stumbling in on a rainy, off-season evening, my partner and I couldn’t have asked for more. 5/5!
