Wow. This place was incredible. If you’re considering the igloos, they are very well heated and cozy. We had a lovely evening!

Simply amazing dining experience! The food was delicious, easily the best any of us had eaten of the type we each ordered. The service was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing or intrusive. The atmosphere was simply magical in the evening with the fire pits lit and the igloos pleasantly heated. The transparent igloos are definitely a highlight for those wanting a comfortable and intimate outdoor dining experience. Their appointment feels pleasantly opulent, the temperature is just right, the balance between privacy and openness is perfect. We're definitely adding this place to our restaurant itinerary when we visit!

Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian selection but the offerings that exist are delicious!

Kid-friendliness: Outdoor dining area, especially in the igloos, is perfect for bringing kids but not stressing out about them being a little loud.

Wheelchair accessibility: Outdoor dining area is largely wheelchair accessible. There is one handicapped parking spot in front of the restaurant but it may be cramped to enter or exit once parked.

The food was really good and I loved the entire vibe this place had. They offer gluten free toast which I was happy about. We sat at the window and enjoyed the street view. Their lunch area outside has warm igloos you can sit in.

We just had the worst experience at Liz’s. Unfortunately we didn’t get to dine. I went inside to inquire about bringing my dog into one of the igloos as I am always very respectful about asking and establishment first their policy on dogs. I asked inside if dogs were allowed in the igloos and he responded “yes!” as he grabbed menus and asked us how many. I met my friend in the parking lot and grabbed my pup from the car and we got in our cozy little igloo. We were so excited to be there! As we started to look over the menu, a different gentleman angrily unzipped the tent and snapped “ladies we do not allow dogs here”, acting as if we had seated ourselves and not even bothered to ask about my dog. Naturally I was confused after being told the opposite literally 2 minutes ago. We tried to explain what I had just been told but he was not having it. As we tried to process and grab our stuff and put our jackets on it escalated to a very aggressive “I HAVE TOLD YOU 3 TIMES AND YOU HAVENT MOVED” This was over literally about 30 seconds. He said he runs the restaurant. What an unfortunate experience. Collectively, my friend and I have never treated so rudely and abrasively at an establishment. I have dined there in the past and have had lovely experiences peak covid and I was really excited to take my friend. Such a bummer way to end our fantastic Ptown weekend.

EDIT FOR RESPONSE
Wow. This is wildly inaccurate. My dog was ABSOLUTELY not unruly, she was calm and leashed. I understand sometimes people misjudge bully breeds, I assure she is the gentlest of giants. She did whine a bit while said gentleman was basically yelling at us but I am certain that there was no "inability to control my dog.” How unfair to embellish the situation in your favor.
I have been in the service industry my entire life and couldn't dream of ever speaking to a guest the way he spoke to us. Honestly, as the owner I wish you were there to see it for yourself. I of course understand health codes etc, but this was a miscommunication on your staff's part, which is absolutely excusable! However, it was still their mistake to navigate. All it would have taken would be a polite "we're sorry for the miscommunication, can we get you a patio table or would you mind bringing your dog back to your car?” I came prepared for both of those possibilities. Please, take responsibility for this staff member’s heinous way of handling this situation.

Our 1st time there. We stayed outside, not in the domes because of our 2 dogs. The staff made sure we had 2 gas fire pits in near our table. The food was good.

Good atmosphere at night for a drink or a full meal, with energetic and upbeat (and just very likeable) staff. It's equally pleasant for breakfast. A great spot overall, just a block away from the main street.

11-10-24: We were up for the weekend and went to Liz's for breakfast. Great food and service! I had California omelette *****. Would eat every meal here if I could.

11-11-23: made a reservation for tonight when we left yesterday. Another night of great dinners. Chicken Milanese, Braised Ribs, Bolognese. Another great meal. Service was fast and attentive. We parked by the pier and walked up (roughly 1/2 mile).

11-10-23 Update: we had dinner here. Chicken Parm and Braised Ribs. Excellent. I think this could become our go-to spot for dining when we are on the cape.

We had breakfast here in the way out after an off-season weekend. Eggs Benedict / Hash and French Toast. We both enjoyed the food!

Parking is tight but don’t let that keep you from coming. We did find a spot on the street and it was a short walk.

Service was prompt and we loved everything about this visit.

I’m here to corroborate my friend’s story from a previous review and stand up against being gaslit on the internet.

We completely understand and accept that dogs aren’t allowed in the igloos at Liz’s and we realize my friend was initially misinformed by a member of the staff inside the restaurant. We take no issue with this—health codes exist for a reason, misunderstandings happen, and we are conscientious people and would have gladly switched tables to accommodate her dog.

The reason for one star is the highly abrasive manner in which we were ordered to get out of the igloo, as described in a previous review. There’s no justification for being approached and spoken to (yelled at) the way we were. When an anxiety-provoking situation such as a health code violation presents itself in the service industry, a firm yet courteous response from the staff is the mark of true professionalism. That was completely lacking this particular day and time. (It did not seem busy or chaotic, but I know the town was coming off a long Halloween weekend.) If we were a little slow to stand up from the table (and we’re talking maybe 30 seconds), it’s simply because we were taken aback from being addressed so angrily. We were stunned at the level of rudeness, and also bewildered since my friend had seemingly gotten permission moments earlier. We were just trying to process what was happening.

In response to my friend’s review documenting our experience the restaurant is now asserting that her dog was being unruly. While I suppose what qualifies as ‘unruly’ is subjective, I feel this is not a fair assessment. Just as when we entered several other dog-friendly businesses in town that day, her dog walked in calmly on a leash, and the guests in the next igloo smiled and seemed delighted to see her, still in her bumblebee costume. She is a charming couch potato of a rescue dog and probably would have napped the whole time. But we were not even there long enough for anything else to happen. It was less than one minute that we humans sat in the chairs and my friend’s dog sniffed around the floor. There was not even time for unruliness to occur before we were yelled at. (Maybe the dog reacted poorly to her human being verbally berated, but I don’t recall.) Anyway, I feel this claim is just an attempt to deflect responsibility and shift the narrative after an unflattering review.

Liz’s is a very popular restaurant in Ptown and I know the majority of people have lovely dining experiences there. That doesn’t mean things can’t go awry sometimes. Own up to it when staff occasionally snaps and handles something poorly—no employee is infallible. (I know dogs aren’t infallible either, but in this case the pup was truly not the one misbehaving.)
