Just spent a good night at this bar, but after leaving I realized that I did not have my wallet. I went back to check where I was sitting. The bar staff were all incredibly helpful and reassuring. I ended up finding it on the street after. Lucked out. But thanks for the assistance from the good people there.
We stopped into the tap because we’re waiting on our reservation at the lobster pot next-door. We had a great server. She was very quick and enjoyed listening to the man singing cover/leading karaoke. This is a cash only place so be sure you’re prepared for that. The old world decor and harpoon IPAs really made up for us. I feel like this is a very local vibe and would be great for dark and stormy evening.
This place is all atmosphere. You can imagine sea captains rolling in to drink away their woes, celebrate a great catch, etc. You can also imagine this place getting VERY messy in the busy season in all the right ways.
Be forewarned that this is cash only and there is no food to speak of unless you want a bag of chips. You will get very stiff drinks for reasonable prices and the uneven floors, slanting tables, etc., could prove interesting depending on how much...
