We have wandered by Patio American Grill over & over each time we have visited Provincetown for the last 25 years. Somehow this was our very first visit, but it most certainly will not be our last. Everything from service, to atmosphere to food & drink was wonderful. I'll be dreaming of martinis & ceviche until we can return for another visit next year.

Food is just ok. Service was good, lots of distraction.
I tried the passion cocktail and it was...gross, but that's on me for ordering a drink with jalapeños in it.
Great location.

Sasha our waitress was top notch, friendly, helpful and extremely personable. The fish and chips are a very generous serving size, and perfectly prepared.

Go for: Modern, coastal-themed restaurant and bar that leans towards the upscale crowd.
Avoid if: You're on a budget.
Something surprising: The place had multiple unique seating areas with their own character.
Reservation needed? During peak meal hours on the weekend and during high season, but the rest of the day, not really.
Overall . The restaurant itself was quite nice and the food was filling (almost too much), but it damn-near required emptying out wallets to pay for it. Maybe that's just normal for Provincetown. The menu was about what you'd expect when you look at the place - basically surf and turf options galore. If you're looking for a classy place in Provincetown, stop by, but know what you're getting into with the prices.

Very nice ambiance. The Oysters were extremely fresh and delicious! Sha Sha our server was awesome and very informative. We would definitely return!
My husband and I had an amazing experience here for our first Anniversary! Nicole was so sweet :)
I am not kidding when I say this is one of my favorite places to eat, drink, and people watch. Took some first time diners there for lunch and they loved it. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was, as always, fantastic. Martin makes everyone feel special and makes the experience so much fun. Can't wait to see everyone next season! Good health to all.
Probably my fave place in town!
Food is great!
I love Tara, she is the best, fast, attentive and always giving the best recommendations for food!
Goce and Martin are one of a kind.
Love 4 Patio!

Whilst atmosphere was great, service and food left a lot to be desired and I was surprised by the high reviews here. We needed to chase down our waiter for water, and were never asked whether we wanted another cocktail when ours ran dry. My husband’s main was described with a side of coleslaw, but when it was instead served with French fries and we flagged down our waiter to ask, his response was “kitchen ran out of coleslaw so you got French fries” as though the thought of offering us another side option to choose was impossible. My mussel special entree came with less than 20 mussels, 4 of which were sealed shut. Can’t recommend.

We had Alex (Alejandro) as our server. We were sat in a great table with a good view of the street so lots of people watching. The food was top-notch and the service was amazing. I would recommend the restaurant the food and our server Alex!!!

I have been to The Patio many times. Clearly it has changed hands. We were a party of 4 and asked for a table on the patio. Our server insisted that we MUST place our entire food order at once even though we were not sure how much we wanted to eat. We ordered a dozen oysters (easily the most expensive item on the menu), soup and a Caesar salad. Our server promptly informed us that if we were only going to order appetizers we had to sit in the bar. We offered to move and he said No just stay where you are.
The restaurant was only about half full and we were definitely made to feel uncomfortable. The food was fine, but I probably won't go there again. There are plenty of other good restaurants with nicer staff and fewer rules.

A go-to spot for lunch, cocktails, and dinner. Great setting for people watching and a casual meal. We came back multiple times, Goce and Bruno were both wonderful.

I had the worst meal I've had in a very long time. I ordered a caprice sandwich with tomatoes and mozzarella, which is usually served on great bread with a side salad or something. This was brown bread that was so oily (way too much butter) that I could barely eat it. The only other thing on the plate was a huge bowl of coleslaw. Really? Just a big plate of a greasy brown sandwich with way too much coleslaw? My clam chowder before that was pretty good, but I think they used corn starch to thicken it, and the croutons were literally stale. I couldn't bite into them. The decoration is pretty with the nautical blue and white but the service was terrible-- it was clear the staff had to be there but didn't want to be. Plus we were seated outside right next to the heat lamps and finally had to be moved because I was burning up being right under the lights. Our server was ok, but we had to beg to get our water glasses filled. I honestly felt anxious being there. We loved visiting Provincetown but this was a big disappointment.
