You people should be investigated. We went to The Pointe after making a reservation. We could only select 6:45pm. We showed up a bit early and the place was completely EMPTY of diners. We were the only ones there. How could you have listed 6:55 as the only reservation for that date?? I will never ever use Open Table to reserve a table again.
The cooks don't know how to cook. We wanted burgers med to medium rare. At breakfast the next morning my wife's omelette looked like it was scraped off the floor. My eggs over easy were hard as a rock. Find some new cook staff.
The service was great at this slightly out of the way Ptown location. We had a great meal and a nice view from the porch. The deviled eggs were amazing and the steak frites was very good. The wine list is also quite nice.
I have gone to this restaurant many times, although not recently. Made a reservation because it was a special occasion, and I have always loved this restaurant. However after arriving on a Sunday evening, we were the only two people there... red flag. Upon receiving the menu, second flag. VERY limited menu, very basic options, nothing that would have this restaurant stand out over many other fabulous restaurants in ptown. We ordered a drink, and told our server that we were very sorry but would be leaving after the drink. Server was efficient and understanding.... And made a good cocktail. I don't know what has happened here... but it saddens me to say I will not be going back
We were so fortunate to find this charming restaurant. I was looking for an upscale restaurant just a little away from the very vibrant street down on the harbor. We found it! The vibe at The Pointe was classy and elegant, yet very comfortable. It was a lovely evening to dine on the terrace with the majestic view of the Pilgrim Monument. A warm ambiance set from softly playing music, twinkling lighting on the terrace and view of the glowing Pilgrim Monument was the perfect backdrop for the outstanding food, wine and service. Our family really enjoyed our dining experience at The Pointe.

The pointe is a yearly place we visit. The atmosphere is lovely. Our server was very nice, but it appeared under staffed. The food was just okay relative to other restaurants in Provincetown. My husband enjoyed his lobster roll & well done fries..just the way he likes them. My burger was overcooked & I ordered medium. Sadly, they were out of risotto. It was surprising for a small menu that they would be out of something so important to the menu. The substitute was mashed potatoes. It's worth a try, I hear the deviled eggs are great & the cod main and Caesar salad.
A little disappointed about our dinner this time. We come every year to the pointe, menu has significantly downsized. Not many options and our waiter didn't even tell us about any specials. We overheard specials being told to someone else while we were leaving and I definitely would've enjoyed eating one of those over the steak I got. Maybe because our reservation was right when they opened, not sure. Also paid $9 for water which is absolutely ridiculous, not sparkling. Hoping it's better next year, the pointe has always been a tradition for us!
It had been a while since I'd dined at The Pointe. Food and service were really nice. Enjoyed the dining room on a cool evening.
Despite limited menu, the interesting appetizers , the steaks and frites and the drinks were all excellent and prices weren't crazy high. We always make this a place to take visitors
Service was slow, they said they did not receive a delivery of food that day so the menu was very limited. They did not have lobster, bread, clam chowder, and several other dishes were unavailable. They have a very limited menu to begin with. We have always looked forward to dinner here, but this will be our last time. Call ahead to make sure they can offer you what they put in their menu. By the way, new owners since 2024.

We were disapointed with the very limited menu. We had been to the Pointe a few times over the years and always very much enjoyed it. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday night. The food quality was rather bland (except the deviled eggs which were good). Not sure if there's new ownership or what, but sad at the changes.
Different owners and the food was terrible. Seems like things are pre-made and then reheated. What a disappointment, we use to love it there. My martini was terrible too. We won't be going back there.
Had an amazing dinner at the bar with Chris! Food was absolutely delicious. The steak frites were out of this world. Would definitely recommend!
Dinner was fabulous! Had Steak Freits and asparagus.. Martimi was excellent as was the waitstaff..
I think they may have just opened up for Valentine's weekend, and it showed. Everyone was friendly, but the waitstaff were notably understaffed, and our waiter, while pleasant, was overwhelmed and inexperienced. There were two wait staff, with some host help, for the entire restaurant. The beet and arugula salad was excellent. The burgers were tough, chewy and seemed to have been frozen for a long time. The buns were stale. Fries were good. The side of Parmesan risotto was a tasteless gooey mess. The tiny lamps on our table were noticeable dusty and dirty. We have been to this restaurant many times in season and love it. I would not go back off season.
