Amazing! Bottom line. The burgers are cooked to perfection, tender and moist! The brioche buns are so super soft and cooked perfect. The spicy margarita was outstanding, and the service is spot on. Five out of five stars and will ? return! ?

Two tacos with very little short ribs maybe 3 tacos would have helped

The brunch menu has good options. Their avocado chicken sandwich was great paired with their iced brown sugar latte. Everything came out pretty quickly and tasted fresh. The server was friendly as well. She seemed very knowledgeable about the menu. They did some decorating for fall, which was a nice touch. I’ll definitely come back.

We stumbled across this place in search of a decent lunch after a morning in which everything went wrong. Everything on the menu looked great, prices were from 2020, and the place itself is really nicely finished. Andrew was incredible, and he just offered to make a couple fresh coffee at 1 pm, our Quincy king.

I am excited there is a new restaurant in Quincy and while Ballast has a lot of potential, it still has alot to improve upon (in my opionion).

1. Sweep under the legs of the table. The person I was with dropped something on the floor and when they went to retrieve it, noticed lots of food under the legs of the table. When sweeping, perhaps they should move the table to reach under the legs, otherwise, they run the risk of being dirty
2. Sandwiches are pricey and do not come with fries. Out of principal, why not include. Ridiculous.
3. Food was decent. The herb used in chicken sandwich was a little heavy. Coleslaw and butter pickles seem to be a menu trend right not and Ballast is on board. Better to keep it simple and straight forward - classic quality will ALWAYS outlive the trends, even in food prep/menu items
4. I was actively eating the fries I purchased as a side to my sandwhich when I asked for a box to package up the remainder of my meal. The waitress took my plate away to box but did NOT include the rest of the fries. Think 1/3 of the bag still uneaten.
5. Waitress definitely needs a little customer service 101 to iron out the wrinkles and rough edges. I.e. ask customer if they want the fries to be included in to go, amongst other little things.
6. The music was club music and loud. I felt like I was at a gay night club or PTown Sunday Tea Dance.
a) I love my gays but Sunday brunch for the Q crowd is probably not the best music choice.
b) Music genre is not very eveyone, AND the volume was LOUD.
7. Host was very personable.
8. Decor is attractive.
9. Plenty of parking.

My wife and I were exploring locally and found this a few months back and have visited several times since. The service is consistently great and the food/drinks have been exactly what I was hoping for. We usually go for brunch/lunch on weekends and the lemon ricotta pancakes have been the go-to even though the other offerings have been great (the Reuben is a solid lunch pick). When they open the windows in nice weather, it gets a nice breeze through the seating area without being a wind tunnel. We're definitely making this our "regular spot".

Food was decent, service was good. Took a little while for the entrees to come out, but otherwise had a great experience. Menu was good too, had a lot of interesting options. I'd recommend the octopus and shishito peppers, both were delicious.

Good option, part of common market. Much trendier than cafe de Paris. Food is very tasty. Would recommend.
