Yes I absolutely love this placeI have been going here since I was like 10 years old! The past staff use to know my family as the Martins family and throughout the years I have noticed a few still great staff. I am always content with the food and the service. I highly recommend this place!

I ended up with food poisoning after visiting this place for the first time. My sister's and I decided to visit this restaurant Saturday night although the bar and take out service looked pretty busy, dine-in was practically empty with us and four other tables occupied. When we asked for a table instead of both it took about 20 minutes for us to be seated. Not sure why seeing as this side of the restaurant was pretty vacant. We were finally seated I'm not sure if it was our waiters old age, the hustle and bustle at the end of a Saturday night or if he was just having a bad day but the service he provided was horrible. After waiting in our seats for some time talking we noticed that a least 30 minutes have gone by and no one came by to take our order. I flagged our waiter to tell him that we were ready. This may sound like nitpicking but it was a very odd interaction as he took our order. He would attempt to leave each time we listed an item in our order. To start I ordered the pu pu platter large he said okay jotted it down and turn to leave. This would happened after each item we ordered. Even drinks. It felt so awkward having to ask him to repeat everything back us to make sure he got everything. After that he brought our water, tea and bread baskets to the table. When the food arrived it actually looked good but the sauces were missing so I had to flag him again. After a few minutes we were disgusted. The meat was underdone and the sauces were spoiled. When we brought this to his attention another employee came grabbed him away forcefully to some unknown emergency. It was nearly 12am when he came back with take away plates and the bill. Not wanting to ruin our night with more negativity we paid our bill but did not tip. The next morning we were all sick. I missed out on spending Easter with my family. Two days later I'm finally able to keep things down. Safe to say we will not be returning. Although the food and service were bad before we were seated I actually really liked the atmosphere. I was considering possibly renting out the space for a work function. What can I say I'm a sucker for a live cover band but at risk of my health and my stomach I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Once again I was among the guests for a family Easter gathering at Cathay Pacific. Where to begin. Our party of 12 was seated promptly and then....tic tok, where's our waiter. Bread and water? Oh, thank you. How about a drink order. Many many minutes later our masked waiter reappears, throws down the pile of take-out menus next to our host, and begins up-selling him on the order. 2 pupu platters? No, 3, get 3. Same with lo mein and fried rice. The rest of the order is placed and then he disappears without asking about drinks. Tic Tok. Time passes. We start laughing about the pitiful inattention to our group. Still no drink orders, but pupu platters and rice and other items start populating the table. Long story short, we got our drinks after we'd finished eating. Haphazardly prepared and delivered at one end of the table - mine - so I could see the dereliction of duty up close. Cranberry juice and soda? No, just cranberry juice. Shirley Temples without more than an eye dropper of grenadine. My JWB OTR delivered with booze and ice in separate glasses. We laughed so much over the incompetence emanating from everywhere but the kitchen, which seemed to be churning out food faster than the skeleton crew of waitstaff could keep up with. Think of Lucy and Ethel at the conveyor belt of chocolates. At the end of it all, we had more uneaten food to take home than we started with, thanks to waiter X's upselling. We all left with styrofoam containers in shopping bags and vowed to find another venue for Mothers Day.

Although prices have increased due to food costs; this restaurant continues to turn out gourmet Chinese food. The quality and portion sizes can not be duplicated.

I’m not sure what to feel about this restaurant to be honest. When entering the restaurant the decor was good and the food smelt good. I asked for a Chinese menu and they didn’t have one, and also didn’t ask if I wanted chopsticks - started to get suss. Then we ordered and they served bread - even more suss. However, the food came and it was actually decent. Extremely large portions too! Overall gave it a 4/5 because of this. Won’t come back personally just to eat this but might come (very low probability) if I was in the area.

If you like an old fashioned New England Chinese/Polynesian restaurant this is the best one still in existence. I had a dinner plate with General Gau's chicken, pork fried rice and boneless spareribs and it was great. The prices are reasonable, portions large and the service was good too. This place looks like it has not changed since the 80's, but is in good repair and looks well maintained.
