Suggested by a friend. Great afternoon snack. Apparently, a local staple for years.
This place has one of my favorite twist soft serve combinations, coffee and raspberry. But when I visited most recently it was down and they only had vanilla-chocolate or orange and vanilla. Still good but not why I make a 45 min + one-way trip.
The teen girl that waited on me was fine but the one who dropped my sandwich at the window was rude.
Great ice cream here! Parking is a bit of a nightmare
Not what it once was! Prices and quantity gave changed. Used to come here near daily while my wife was pregnant. Perhaps it was just off night.
Good soft serve ice cream. My XL cone hit the spot. Very much a get in get out kinda place, no frills, no seating. Parking is limited but there is free street parking.
Dairy Freeze in Quincy, Massachusetts, has been a local favorite for cool treats since the 1950s. Its walk-up window and retro sign make it a nostalgic stop for ice cream lovers of all ages.
Known for generous portions and a wide variety of soft-serve flavors, Dairy Freeze is especially popular in summer when lines stretch down the sidewalk. From classic cones to sundaes piled high, it’s a true Quincy tradition.
Family-owned and community-focused, the stand has become more than just a place for dessert—it’s a gathering spot that brings neighbors together year after year.
Love it, I ordered onion rings and a small rainbow Richies ice and it cost me $23.00 dollars and some change. It's very good.
Good soft serve, and excellent service, they also have some food if you get hungry.
Great seasonal ice cream spot. Usually a line on summer night but it moves quickly.

Hot Dog, Fries, and lemonade was good
I like those ice cream
Great icecream close to Milton Quincy line. They sell food as well. Fried clam stips. The staff knows how to stack a soft serve!
Took the kids out for a simple treat. When I handed over my credit card, the cashier asked if I’d like to leave a tip. I said, “Sure, 18%.” She then told me their machine doesn’t do percentages, only dollar amounts. So there I was, standing at the counter doing math over $11.24 of ice cream.
Tipping culture is getting out of hand even for basic counter service like this. If you’re going to ask for a tip, at least have a payment system that lets customers tip by percentage or shows suggested amounts clearly. It shouldn’t feel like a pop quiz just to pay for dessert.
On the bright side, the kids really enjoyed their ice cream and that’s what mattered most.
Best place for a cold, sweet treat. Love the swirl flavors the best!!
