Loved this place growing up but something has changed in the last year or two in terms of service. Not sure if new owners or something else.
It feels like a surprise what an ice cream costs every time I go because they don’t list their prices - weird?
Anytime I’ve had an issue there is always defiance in making it right and I’m told “it’s hard to find good employees after COVID.”
I hope I can amend this review...

Dairy Freeze is a wonderful ice cream stand by itself, and has been a Quincy staple for decades. Good soft serve and great staff. It doesn't rate well on "atmosphere" only because it's a permanent ice cream stand in a small parking lot on a busy street with no seating.
I've heard locals praise their fish and chips, but it never wowed me. But it's 5 stars within its own category of "non-fancy old soft serve lunch joints".
