Don't let the ambiance fool yeah cause the sushi is great! For the price and selection, we choose this place over the fancy Fuji down the street!

Very good local Japanese spot. Fish is always fresh. Food is prepared quickly. Prices are fair for the quality. We recommend Fuji.

I ordered 3 Maki combo delivery and the rice taste like it was made 3 days ago. I will never order from here again

We came on a Friday night and waited 20 min for a table. We thought that was more than fair considering it was a Friday night and the restaurant was packed. We were a table of 4 and only received 2 menus. When our 4th guest arrived, we were told that we needed to "order now" within 1 min of her arrival. Our 4th guest had not even been asked if she wanted water. It took over 20 min and us asking our server twice before we received any water for the table. She also only brought one water and didn't think it was customary to bring 4 cups of water for the entire table.

5 min later our table of 4 received 3 cups of miso soup. We thought it was really odd that our 4th guest was again, the person who was not given miso soup. When we asked our server, we were told that her meal did not include miso soup and ours did.

3 out of 4 meals arrived 25 minutes later which were all sushi dishes. The fish was good quality but the sushi rice in the maki rolls was stale and crunchy as if it had sat in the rice cooker for over a day. It was over 40 minutes before my mom, the 4th person in our table, received her meal. She ordered the filet mignon ishiyaki which comes with a salad, soup, and rice. My mom only received her soup and her steak.

My mom his a disability and asked for a fork because chopsticks are really difficult for her to use. After 20 minutes of asking for a fork and her side orders of rice and salad, she ended using her hands to eat her steak. The service was so awful and in the end, we paid full price for an entree she only received half of.

When we spoke to the wait staff about discounting her entree, the server became very angry, argumentative and combative. In the end, she only took off our 4 soda drinks on the menu and left the entree charge as is.

With that said, we will literally never come here again. The waiters kept pushing into us the entire dinner and grabbing / moving our purses without our permission. They also spent the entire dinner slamming our plates on the table and making it obvious they didn't want us there.

We were also the only brown people in the entire restaurant. Despite our many many efforts to get adequate service, we kept noticing that the other tables around us were getting faster service with a smile on their face while we coincidentally happened to be the only table of color in there. It felt really racially targeted and unappreciated. After we had paid, the server came back and roughly grabbed our receipts (almost hitting me in the face in the process) and checked if we had tipped which was also really unnecessary and unappreciated.

We will never go back here. The experience was trash.

I like this place and have been going for years. Today ordered some scallops and it was sandy. Told the waitress and she informed the chef. They spoke in Chinese saying we’ve never had scallops before. Little do they know we understand Chinese. Also who would need to have ate something to know when there is sand in their food.

We have been enjoying Fuji for 20 years and have never been let down. I mean never. The staff is always so friendly and competent, the chefs make everything so well. Never ever less than super fresh. They never even get the takeout order wrong. Seriously, like over 100 takeout orders over the years, cannot recall ever making a mistake. Kid friendly too!

Everything was fine except for the under-cooked sushi rice (which was a large portion of the order).

Food is amazing, but it’s very tight in there. Way too many tables for such a small place.

We have been to sushi in Quincy before and didn’t realize it was Fuji. This trip was just as good if not better than the last time…and we’re used to really good sushi on the west coast.

While everything was excellent, the Hokkai Yaki and the Ebi Yaki are to die for and is a unique dish I haven’t run across at any other sushi restaurant. The flavor combination in addition to the presentation are top notch!

For rolls, we had the Red Sox and the flavor combination was wonderful.

Definitely looking forward to g forward to our next trip here!
