Very slow service, mediocre food, and low quality interior for dining in. The banh mi gave us all a stomachache after. This should definitely not be considered a place to get Asian food, there are so many better options in Quincy! Plus, just their slow service and unsanitary conditions alone would make me not recommend this place.

Lovely little place off the beaten path in Marina Bay. As another yelper said, it's the best food in Marina Bay We came to enjoy the views and got hungry. Found this place today and I'm so glad we tried it based on Yelpers. Food is absolutely wonderful and appropriately spiced like how my mom would make it. I got the fried tofu chow-mein and my partner got the seafood fried rice. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner and chef came out to greet us. Galveston is a lovely man. While it was a bit of a wait, the freshness and quality of the food makes it worth it. We found out they deliver so this will be part of our regular list of places to get food. I can't wait to try the pho!

Ordered a few things. Some good some were not. I can start by saying that the Beef Pho is not really beef pho. I'm almost positive it wasn't a beef broth. Broth flavorless with a ton of whole black peppercorn... Wait what? Black peppercorn? In Pho????????? Anyways... No cilantro or any flavor in the broth. Just spice. My wife had the beef and onion noodle salad which she said was decent. The saving grace was the bbq honey pork rice. A little dry, but the flavors were right on. They used jasmine rice instead of broken rice. The pickled daikon and carrots tasted a little off as well Have not had the chance to try the bahn mi yet. Got double charged on Bahn Mi and luckily noticed when I asked for a receipt. They made it right but I would have never known if I did not ask for a receipt. Overall, with all the Vietnamese options in Quincy, I don't think I will be back. Overall, did not taste like Vietnamese food.

Banh mi and noodle salad were both remarkably below average - and we waited more than 30 minutes for them - If you're standing right in front and nothing else will satisfy your craving besides a banh mi, then sure, go for it. Otherwise, don't bother to drive out there, for those items at least.

The food is good but the service is incredibly slow. Be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes for anything you order.

Worst steak and cheese I’ve ever had. It’s like they cleaned the grill onto the bread. Way overcooked and burnt grill leftovers all over it. Not only that their service is SO slow. We’ve been in here before and the food was decent, just really slow. We actually ordered and the cook was outside sitting with a couple and dog and we waited over 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches.

Food is absolutely terrible and it took them an hour. To be fair I got a cheese burger and crab Rangoon's. If it was so bad I had to review

We love Gaveston Cafe! The Ban Mi's are GREAT. Everything is so fresh, you can tell the owner really puts a lot of effort into making sure everything is up to his standards. No MSG!! And now he has created a little Oasis outside the cafe for outdoor dining. Make sure you look in the pots for the fish swimming around.

I you are craving for some Vietnamese food you must visit this place. It is a wonderful hole in the wall. But wow, what great food, great service. One can tell that The proprietor truly cares about the food quality.

Love this place and these guys. Jon and Gaveston are two of the nicest and most talented guys around. Just had an incredible BBQ Bahn Mi sandwich and one of the best Pad Thai’s I’ve ever had.

GAVESTON IS SO GOOD! I never had a Banh Mi that taste this good before. I used to go to the one in Kam Man or Chinatown. Gaveston has rank my number one place to get a delicious Vietnamese Sandwich.

Went to Gavenston Cafe after a hike in the blue hills reservation with 5 friends , I had the pad Thai, and it was the best pad Thai I have ever had ! The service was terrific, food outstanding, and parking was easy. I will be coming back

Food is very fresh and tasty! The BBQ beef sandwich is worth the trip.. trust me! it is sooo good! the pizza is also excellent - BUT not when you go to heat it up the next day.. weird? But it was amazing when we had a slice in the restaurant. The owner has passion and it shows in his food! BUT if you are in a rush, this is NOT the place to go! For two BBQ beef sandwiches we waited at least 45 minutes. Was it worth the wait - YES! Does everything come out very slow - YES! but it is worth it for fresh food!
