Dump for Locals I've gone to the Hofbrau twice. The patrons were regulars, quiet, and friendly. We saw local fishermen (lobstermen), couples, and men 30's-50's who came in after their weekly ice hockey time at the nearby rink. The bar was quiet. To the left of the bar is a pool table and tables. The cook on Wed-Sat. is Joe. Oh my gosh! The best chicken/sausage cacciatore I've ever eaten. The cheeseburger is automatically a double burger. Excellent fries. The mixed drinks are strong and reasonably priced. The double cheeseburger with fries and chicken cacciatore came to $14. A mixed drink came to $8. The biggest issue is that this spot is a bit too yokel local for us and the staff caters overly to them. Makes you feel a bit like an intruder. Still a decent spot. Thanks

Took a walk on Wollaston Beach and ended up here ( as usual) for wings, pizza, hot dog and my favorite... 5 second pour vodka into a Bloody Mary made the old fashioned way WOW!!Food is always hot out of the kitchen... pub/dive bar food( said with love) all for 40 bucks ( food and 4 Mary's)and plenty of real life dive bar patrons.... love this place!!!

It was my first time going there and only chose to because it was highly recommended from numerous friends. I got a cheese pizza and a couple beers. The pizza was delicious. The bartender was very friendly yet professional. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in the area.
