If the food was fantastic, the twists on all the viet dishes would make it great. But it wasnt amazing, just good / okay. Also the arrangement of the tables is a bit odd. Service was great and the Pho flavor is pretty good. Something feels out of place and feel the food has potential but isn’t there yet.

It’s not always easy to get to Quincy from Boston. Southbound traffic can be a nightmare but if you’re able to make the journey, or you have the fortune of already Quincy, Le Madeline is a special restaurant worth your visit.

One of the first things that you notice about Le Madeline is the location, nestled proudly in a corner of downtown Quincy.

The food is truly exceptional. Not only do they have more traditional Vietnamese favorites (pho, vermicelli noodles and rice) to please the purists, but Chef Peter’s original creation elevates this restaurant to an unbelievable level.

Dishes like the Viet Cajun Noodles, Giant Prawns, and the freshly shucked oysters (Hàu Nướng Mỡ Hành) take you for a ride along not just the origins of where Vietnamese food has come from, but possibly where it’s going in the future.

Seafood is definitely a major priority on the menu here. The Sa Tế Onion Dip with a big fat dollop of caviar and shrimp chips was the perfect crunchy shareable finger food appetizer. And the Vietnamese inspired take on the New England lobster roll with tamarind (Tôm Hùm Rang Me) was out of this world.

A big shout out to every single staff member. The service was genuinely kind and warm offering to explain all of the dishes and made us feel so welcomed.

An inspired, well executed restaurant like this doesn’t come around very often and should not be taken for granted. Go now before they get even busier!

Went to Le Madeleine with friends for a birthday dinner, and it was a fantastic experience! The service was phenomenal, and everything we ordered was not only beautifully presented but also tasted amazing. We were all very impressed and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend checking this place out!

This is the first time I didn’t finish the pho; the broth was tasteless; noodle not fully cooked. The interior is nice and design well. The table should be ready before seated. There was 6 staffs, but I had to wait for my chopsticks for 3 minutes after my dish arrived before the waiter noticed and brought them to me. The staff seem new and inexperienced, but can be improve. There’s a lot of room for improvement. The music there open and playing thug-style gangsta hip hop for customer to listen to. I hope to see the improvement next visit.

Good atmosphere and attentive service. Prices are on the higher ends but good quality. Highly recommend their banh trang dip and scallops. Bun rieu broth is a bit bland and their lemongrass clams are too big.

I had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant and unfortunately can’t recommend it. First off, the “popcorn shrimp” was a complete letdown. It was literally just popcorn with shrimp—neither cooked properly nor flavorful. The shrimp itself was undercooked, and the dish was excessively salty, which made it almost impossible to eat.

Next, I ordered the shaking beef, which was supposed to be grilled, but it wasn’t even close. The beef was undercooked, barely had any meat, and had none of the grilled flavor or texture you’d expect. Again, the salt levels were off the charts.

The lobster roll was probably the worst offender. Not only was the lobster cold, which threw me off, but the tamarind sauce drenched the dish in salt. The imbalance in flavors made it unpleasant to eat, and it felt like no attention was paid to how the ingredients should work together.

Overall, the entire meal was a disaster from start to finish. Between the undercooked, cold food and the overwhelming saltiness of nearly everything, I left feeling completely unsatisfied. I hope the restaurant takes these issues seriously because the quality of the food was nowhere near acceptable.

The service was amazing. Our server was very kind and attentive. The food was even better. We had the mussels, bone marrow, viet-Cajun noodles and banh khot. Everything was served hot and fresh and was beautifully presented. They even kindly gave a free dessert for a birthday. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back.

The food is phenomenal! My favorite was the pork belly skewers, but all the food was delicious. The space was a bit smaller and more casual than I expected, but overall we had a great experience.

Le Madeline: A Vietnamese Gem in North Quincy

I don’t usually write restaurant reviews, but Le Madeline has forced my hand. The food here is exceptional—Chef Peter Nguyen has somehow managed to elevate classic Vietnamese dishes with a modern twist that makes them unforgettable. Every bite is packed with flavor, and the spicy mango margarita(Margarita Cay Nóng)? It’s so good it might just make you believe in love at first sip.

The staff is incredibly friendly, almost like they actually enjoy being there. The bartender deserves a shout-out for making drinks that are as delightful as the conversation. And then there's Allen, the manager—always smiling, incredibly friendly, and generous. His positive energy sets the tone for the whole place. My Vietnamese family always lets me try a bit of everything, and honestly, I’ve never been so grateful for their generosity.

In short, Le Madeline is worth a visit. Just don’t blame me when you find yourself coming back again and again.

Mediocre compared to its predecessor. Food is outrageously over priced for a typical simple Vietnamese food $5-8 above average per dish.
